Whelan had a pop at him twice for not stepping up into the gaps that he and Nzonzi were leaving. The second time he gestured over to the bench for the manager to bollock him and at full time he and Muniesa were the only two he didn't shake hands with. Very disappointed with Glenn today. Decent enough game but he and Nzonzi went walkies far too often and to pick on the new lad when he is adapting to the team and league is very poor indeed. At the end of the game Wollscheid and Muniesa were remonstrating with each other over the incident and it has clearly affected them both in a negative way. In the absence of Shawcross I thought they were both superb. Whelans wasn't having a pop at The bench, it was Victor he was going mad at for not tracking back to help He was mate. Bowen gestured to him to calm down and Hughes blanked him.

Excellent all round display, so calm and composed on the ball a well timed tackle in the box which resulted in a goal kick seems an excellent buy so far

It's great to see somebody with a range of passing and so much time on the ball at the back. Not totally convinced by his defending yet but it's still early and i think he's settling in nicely.

Thought at Leicester he was class when he filled in for Ryan and did the same again today. Been impressed with Muni from day one, both are composed on the ball and distribution from the back augurs well for the future.

I missed the argument but I imagine once the game was won, they both let it go.

He is good on the ball but wouldn't like to see him against a quick striker as he looks slow! He is not a dominant centre half aerially like Shawcross! look at mertesaker and terry , both terribly slow but you cant arue that there good center backs.

The lad is a class act. One thing I like is that he's very comfortable on the ball with both feet

I think he's doing excellent. Most new players need time to adapt to a new club. Wollscheid came from Germany and was thrown right onto the pitch in an extremely difficult match. He has adapted extremely quickly and will only get better as he's getting used to the style of play in England, Sparky's tactics and his teammates. A brilliant acqusition by Stoke!

Not convinced him and Shawcross is the way forward.

Might be an unpopular view but I can see wolly-muni as our defensive pair for the long term when Ryan inevitably gets poached. He certainly seems closer to a Ryan replacement than a partner for him. Maybe I'm just a cynical bastard though!

Maybe I'm just a cynical bastard though! Not at all. But I don't think Ryan will get poached tbh. I have a feeling this will go the same way as Wilson with Shawcross and Wollscheid being preferred, them never getting any better, them looking dodgy and me getting ever frustrated.

Not convinced him and Shawcross is the way forward. I wonder if the Wolf is more comfortable on the right even though he appears to be 2 footed

If we had a settled back 4 we'd look so much better in my opinion. All this chopping and changing....for injuries....is not helping us 1 bit.

And the only centre half I think that should be guaranteed a start is Muni.......
He fits the best with either Shawcross or Wolly.

I'm going call him the Wolf from now on ....the Wolf needs games to settle in before we can judge him. Maybe time to give Ryan a break,2 injuries in a couple of weeks, looks like he needs one

Ryan is going nowhere, Wolfie dunna look quick but I've not seen him get done yet he has a fair turn of pace and is very calm and composed on the ball he has potential to be a cracking player and form a solid CB pairing with Ryan.

He's looked good since he's come in. The odd rocky clearance aside - only better to come I reckon
