Solid game from the big German youth.
They were awful though.

Absolute rock today, and very composed on the ball, showed a great range of passing at times too. I'd shift Muniesa to LB next week in place of Wilson.
Bardsley - Shawcross - Wolly - Muniesa
I know Bardsley didn't have the greatest of games today but he's far, far better defensively than Cameron IMO. Have we ever had 4 better CB's on the books at the same time?

Bit too early to judge him on his defensive qualities so far but one thing that stood out is that he seemed to have a great leap on him. Added to the fact that he's massive anyway, he can hopefully help us out with some goals from set pieces. For whatever reason, Shawcross doesn't seem as strong as he used to from a goal scoring point of view so it would be more dangerous from defence.

Last week half of you were saying he was shit after about 45mins of football. Now because we won today he is the bees knees. What if we lost? I bet some of you would be calling for him to be sent back. Funny that...A win makes every player a Ronaldo, a loss makes them all as good as an injured Palacios. Lets give all the players a good go and this new bloke a few games to get his stride back and MH will make an appropriate assessment. fuck sake true though so what's with fuck sake?

Where does this leave Muniesa when Ryan is back?

Where does this leave Muniesa when Ryan is back? Thought the same Muni could well be a bit upset as he should be he's playing very well. But what a cracking squad we have now and credit to LMH it's a good problem to have.

Where does this leave Muniesa when Ryan is back? Either at left back, if Pieters isn't healthy, or in midfield next to Nzonzi. i don't think hughes would take him out of the starting 11 if he's healthy

Not getting carried away after two matches but he looks the real deal

The way he's slotted into centre back so comfortably suggests he's tailor made, might be a bit pedestrian but so controlled in possession. Good in the air and positionally he looks like the real deal. Sign him up.

Looked decent today. Not sure how he is when being taken on one-on-one by someone with pace but the key is he seems to be a good reader of the game and so won't get caught out that often. Impressive enough, problem is with a few good loan performances his price is going to be a lot higher. If Hughes rates him why not just buy him straight away?

Interesting snippet from Hughes Sky interview. He said he brought Wollscheid in for Ryan when the latter failed his fitness test this morning. Looks like Muni was all set to be CB from the start. Makes the back four line up for the next game quite a conundrum.

Had a very, very decent game.
Won his headers, made plenty of solid challenges and was very calm in possession.
He'll be a gem if he carries on like today.

Read the game brilliantly well throughout. He has already said that he has come to Stoke for the long term, so we should get him signed on permanently now.
He also showed his appreciation on the support at full time today, which was good to see.

Dont count me in those dickheads last week whining about him....I though hew was sound last week A very good player in the making......question is do we sign him permanently...? He looked shell shocked last week and who could blame him probably the worst match he could have made his debut in, not seen the game today but by all accounts he has shown the potential he has long may it continue, if he gives as good service to the other German CH we have we will be well blessed.

How much will he cost, just roughly?
Is he a £2 million man or a £6 million man? Just trying to get a feeling.

Hung out to dry last week for me, did well today. Granted against lesser opposition but certainly didn't look out of place. Reminded me of Shawcross in a lot of ways, with how he played
