A cheeky loan or even permanent? Makeweight in deal for Begovic?
I think he'd do a good job for us.

Absolutely yes, no idea why so many are writing him off! That said Liverpool will never loan him out so it's irrelevant

He's better than any of our centre forwards without a doubt but they won't let him go.He'd suit our style of play

Not every day I find myself in agreement with you Pugs but you are bang on the money on both points. Rick Lambert would be a major asset for us and neither Charlie Austen or Danny Ings would be a jot bit interested in joining us, not until or unless their respective current clubs were relegated anyway.

Part of stokes striker problem is a reluctance to buy Austin Ings lambert etc when they are pulling up trees in the championship
There are some good strikers down there who can step up

Lambert is a good player and can pay up front on his own. He'd be loads better than anything we've got.
Not sure i'd put him in with any deal for Begovic though. Wages must be an issue here also. He'd be on a fortune at Liverpool and we'd be in a similar wage situation as we are with Crouch surely?

There is no earthly chance Charlie Austen or Danny Ings coming to Stoke. The snobbery of some Stoke fans is breathtaking. Neither Austen nor Ings are going to a top 6 club any time soon, both face the prospect of relegation. I think there is every earthly chance of either of them coming to Stoke if the price is right. Depends how ambitious we are at the end of the day.

Crouch is also a proven International footballer who has scored more goals this season than Lambert.

I don't get the fuss with Ings. He's scored 1 more goal than our chastised striker who's been stuck out on the wing......

Lambert at the moment is far better, and could be a good short term fix for this season and next.

I think if you look at their goalscoring records in the Premier League they are pretty much the same, so you'd be signing like for like really, a pretty pointless signing in all honesty

I like Lambert. I don't see him leaving his big paypacket at Liverpool any time soon unless Sturridge has a miracle recovery, Balotelli turns up and they spend even more money on two more forwards to knock him completely out of contention.
