He was a suspected burglar wasn't he? Allegedly tasered inside the victims house at 1am in the morning. Be interesting to know if he was otherwise in good health. I must admit I'd expect to shrug off a tasering in a relatively short period of time

Liverpool fans have demanded a full and thorough enquiry, and will not rest until the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire resigns.

My home town, for anyone that knows chesterton its the flats opp the red lion and the brickworks.i have no sympathy whatsoever he was burgling someones home at 1 am in the morning. No doubt the bleeding heart liberals will be on here later. as far as I am aware a taser will not kill you however if your body has been ravaged by drugs then there is a good chance that your heart will be weak.

Wait to see if he was actually burgularing anyone. Cop propaganda said Jean Charles De menezes was acting suspicious, jumping barriers, and had a backpack on.
Anyone want a guess on the cops sentence?

Anyone want a guess on the cops sentence? Call it police propaganda if you like, and what happened was a tragedy for the victim and his family, but I would not like to have been in the shoes of the guy that pulled the trigger, having to weigh up whether to potentially kill an innocent man or risk the lives of so many people by letting him run off.

Well if he was up to no good then there isn't much to report other than it being a tragic coincidence that his body was unable to withstand the tasering.

I don't know the specific circumstances of this case but I do know there's an escalation of burglaries at this time of year. Some thieves targetting the houses of children, on local estates.

Admin:
I'd seriously consider changing the name of this thread or indeed remove it. It sounds like coppers have just killed a man. When in fact, he was on the thieve, most probably told to stop when questioned and didnt so he was tasered. If he was was indeed on the thieve and as a result was tasered, are we meant to feel sorry for him???!

The level of force used is the key . If he had a weapon such as a screwdriver or something and was resisting arrest or threatening to injure the officers involved , then the officers were right to use a Tazer. The fact he died is not the real issue here. It only becomes an issue if the level of force was disproportionate in his arrest and subsequent death .These type of crimes tend to be done by serial offenders but obviously this is not certain in every case.

What are the odds this death could have been avoided, as could the crime, if heroin was given away free in a controlled environment. Perhaps this would even reduce the cost of house insurance for us all.
Just a guess before the world closes in upon me like, and it was only the odds i was asking for.
8 to 1?

I havn't checked the odds with 365 yet, I'm loathe to gamble on such stuff. This is an exception, it doesn't happen all the time. But on the whole I agree with what you say. If society had better responses to the misfits, we'd all get along better. In the meantime if anyone crosses my moat with ill intent, they become fair game. Bay leaves with long pig.

Come on mumf you're setting yourself up there fella....say someone breaks into your house, all rational thought goes out of the window. You're telling me you wouldn't use disproportionate force...? You wouldn't call the police and instead try to reason with said burglar...? "Excuse me young tyke, would you mind awfully putting that PS4 back please you cheeky scamp...? Would you bollox ! If anyone tried to get into my house, they'd get the 'disproportionately' thick end of a baseball bat round their fuckin' head and no mistake
