I've dabbled in the Apple world, and here's my view: - Great products. Quality
- Very overpriced. Considering that Apple invest less in R&D than both MS and Google, the prices should be 30%+ lower.
- www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22607349. Why bother paying tax Apple? As the ethical & anti-establishment they present themselves, how they do their tax is not acceptable.
To summarise, great products - which you'll really enjoy, but you, your country, and several other countries will feel royally screwed up the arse for the privilege.

Go and see Simon at Stokes oldest and best Apple service centre in Chesterton. Sounds like you need your HD zeroing and 10.9.3 reloading. The cunt charged me 2 hours last time, should only be 1 hour - 48 quid. Clean start = fast Mac. Get some extra RAM too. If you don't want to spend the cash I can walk you through a boot USB creation and clean install. I'll insist on a tenner to the DLT though. I've got a mate that works with PCs mainly but he's got some experience with macs. I showed him your reply and he reckons he can do it. Cheers for the advice though pal. He is gonna put more ram in too.

Ok,
If I do work from home, using programs like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, whilst also enjoying surfing and playing poker occasionally online, which apple mac am I best getting or should I get a PC instead?
Currently got a Dell Inspiron Home Premium OA, i7 processor. Had it about 4 years
