Morale needs lifting for everyone at the club and this is a game that we need to win. it will be great opportunity to give some match time to a number of players, but not at the expense of a positive result. Yet again your ability to state the absolutely blindingly obvious never fails to astound.

Good morning and thank you for your kind comments It's only an opinion but, some of the suggestions to make 5 or more changes at once are too risky Mess this one up and there will be lots of questions to answer. Have a nice day

Its only a day away, we have to take this competition seriously as we have a great chance of doing well in it. Who's going and what team do you expect to see? ........Tommy Muniesa Huth Ryan Geoff Arnie Sidwell Adam Moses ......Walters ......Crouch Gouranga.

I'd be treating this like a competitive pre-season game. I think he has to start with what he think is his best side or as close to it. The only "squad" changes I'd make are Muniesa for Pieters and Moses for Arnie. Bego should probably play and Huth if fit has to be at centre half and if he isn't fit then it has to be Muniesa. Bego Bardsley Shawcross Huth Muniesa Whelan N'Zonzi Odemwingie Bojan Moses Diouf This. The first 11 aren't really getting it together as a team so this will give them a competitive workout.

Can't believe so many want Diouf to start!!!
Can you imagine the reaction of the DHW brigade if he doesn't score??!!??
Trouserdog and Ukyestony would tear him limb from limb.

Looks like Hughes wants to include a youngster in the squad tomorrow. Will it be Shenton or Ward?

Baring any injuries I'd go with the same 11 as against Hull, they're pro athletes and should be able to handle it, and are clearly in need of some time on the pitch together.

It does seem Hughes is considering playing an academy player and my guess would be Shenton. It'll be nice to see providing we get a performance and result.

The important thing is not to dick around, win and score some goals in the process. Hughes has got a real problem on his hands if he lets Portsmouth win or draw tomorrow. All those idiots yucking it up about what happened to United today will turn on him in an instant if he fucks this game up. And he knows it. Well, I hope he does.

Looks like Hughes wants to include a youngster in the squad tomorrow. Will it be Shenton or Ward? whats the point ? The squad ix big enough without having the need to resort to youngsters at any point in the course if the season ? So why include a youngsters when the purpose of this match should be first and foremost to get a win in order to progress further in the competition, if possible to do so in style as this would serve as a big morale booster and also to see that the team gels together. A youngster doesn't figure at all in this scenario

Looks like Bojan could miss out according to The Sentinel, I'd go: Tommy Cameron Shawcross Huth Muniesa Nzonzi sidwell Odemwingie Adam Moses Crouch This, but with Diouf in place of Crouch as he needs goals for confidence. It maintains a spine whilst giving good squad players a chance to shine and replace under performing first teamers. Really need an early goal in this one

Load and proud saying could be 8 changes. We best get the win whoever he plays. We need a good cup run. It's not like we need to rest players for our title challenge us it? Take it seriously and go all out for the cups!!!!!

my team
Butland
Wilko - Ryan - Muni - Bardsley
N'Zonzi - Sidwell
Walters - Adam - Moses
Odemwingie
I'd like Walters and Wilko to play, can rest Pieters and Wilson by playing Bardsley LB.
Bring on Shenton (for N'Zonzi), Arnie (for Moses at HT) & Diouf (for Wingie or Walters) if all goes well
