Just back from the game and it was a decent run out for Stoke...... A good turn out of Stokies....about 350-400 being honest..... I think mostly everybody missed Dioufs goal due to the fact that some bloke was getting pelted with empty beer glasses at the front of the paddock.....he was a tight arse and collecting em cos you could get a euro back on em. Must have had about 50 euros worth of plastic beekers all stacked up. I was stood at the bar in a LONG queue and missed it as well. Second half was decent enough with Adam dragging a shot inches wide of the left hand upright, Crouchy missing a diving header from literally 5 yards out - straight at the keeper. One yard either side and it would have been 2-1. Diouf skied one as well when put through but a solid display none the less. One thing that pissed me rayte of though was only Adam came over at the end and applauded the fans and gave his top to a little laddie - nice gesture. I dont know if Im reading too much into it but it seemed one of those gestures like "thanks and goodbye' type things. I honestly didnt see any of the other players come over or acknowledge the presence of the fans...miserable bastards Lot of old songs got an airing plus some german lad in our end was just gettin dogs abuse all game but he took it well........"youre just a fat Harry Potter, fat Harry Pooottteerr" All fans in FINE voice and then went to the Freiburg fans bar with Matt and Andy ( ey up fellas if you read this) where this Freiburg fan got a round of 10 beers in without asking us !! "I buy you beers, yes, I buy you 10 beers, good, yes?" Aye if you want son ! Really friendly bunch and nice stadium to boot in really nice surroundings. Lots of decent bars in the old town as well. TOP TRIP ! 339 Stokies in attendance I read somewhere, twitter/facebook can't remember which?

Easiest decision would be to have Bogan on the bench, therefore not upsetting Wingie after how well he played last year. Then up to the others to keep him on the bench and Bogan to force his way in. Just my opinion.

Agree with the comment about Adam coming over to see us. Wouldn't have hurt the rest to come and say hello!
Went with mar lady and the kids, we all missed the goal but enjoyed the plastic glass battle.....nice lady police officer and the Germans were friendly although their kids were a little bit intimidated when the hardcore Stokies arrived.
Hope everyone gets / got home OK......Can we do it again next year?

Great weekend on the "little Vic" Coach.
We seemed to have issues with cover for the fullbacks and they exposed us on a number of occasions down both sides. A draw was probably the right result with both keepers pulling off decent stops. Bojan has some nice touches but didn't really threaten. Diouf works very hard but he isn't particularly tall and their CB's won pretty much everything in the air when we went long to him. It was quite warm which forced us to drink lots off beer and the heat did keep the tempo of the game down a bit. I don't think the fullbacks got forward that much which nullified our attacking options a little. Granted it was only a friendly but we will have to play fat better against prem teams.
I managed to miss both goals but had a great time.

Shawcross at fault for the goal?
He worried me against Betis.
Excellent block and assist after though!

Thanks for that Grapey - not really the type of goal you'd see Peter Crouch score is it?
It's his pace there that completely makes the goal and makes it out of not very much!

Shawcross at fault for the goal? He worried me against Betis. Excellent block and assist after though! He struggles with crosses, he was at fault for a couple last season and a couple this pre season but he seems to get a free pass and others get the blame, he needs to work on it. Anything in front of him he is superb, but he loses his man quite a bit when the ball is coming across.
