It'll be interesting to find out what positions Diouf, ODW and Bojan are going to occupy.
There's several possibilities I guess.

Assuming Odemwingie is starting above Arnie due to not having a full pre season

Assuming Odemwingie is starting above Arnie due to not having a full pre season Maybe - but Cameron not starting ahead of Bardsley to let him catch up?

It's hard to believe Arnie could be the one who'll miss out next week but I think it's a real possibility
It will test his old sulky ways

Wingie will be playing because he looked miles off match sharpness in the Betis game.

Assuming Odemwingie is starting above Arnie due to not having a full pre season Possible mate but Arnie has also been a little hot and cold in pre-season. I suppose it doesn't hurt to see what difference Odemwingie makes to the front line dynamic?

MH made a point about Bojan not completing 90 minutes yet after the Betis game. Hopefully he can get it today along with a hat trick of course

Second start on the bounce for Wilson? Seems like Hughes has made his mind up about who partners Shawcross then. Last season Hughes tended to let the man in possession keep the job until injury or loss of form gave the back up the chance to step in. Wilson has played cb for over half a season so the job is probably his until he shows he deserves a spell on the bench.

I'd say Arnie's place in the first team for next week is as safe as anyone's. Starting Wingie makes sense as he's probably starting to think/realise he won't be in the first 11 as regularly as he was last season, but he's still an important member of the squad so it's important not to isolate him. Squad management and all that malarkey.
We also haven't seen him link up with Bojan and Diouf yet.

MH is also possibly testing Arnie's reaction to not automatically getting a start and getting him used to the idea that no one up front is an automatic starter. Whereas Wingie needs a game and Bojan needs as much competitive football as Stoke can give him to get him back to his very best. Come on Stoke!

As long as we get the Wilson from the back end of last season then I personally don't have too much of a problem with him starting.

Obviously decided to let them have one right at the beginning to recreate being behind early on as extra preparation for the coming season... or maybe not.
