Better tell Pugsley to adjust his calculation. See also Wilson P for £8m.

Actually I've checked my notes and I have it as 4.5 million, 3 million for the two players and 1.5 million cash. I'd want at least 10 million for Wilson from Tone. Add in getting rid of the salaries of two players we didn't want and replacing them with one we did and it'll knock probably a mill or two off the deal. £10m is pretty OTT for me, but I'd think that it would take £6m ish for us to even ponder accepting a bid. I'd get rid of Cameron for anything above £3m instead I think. We need to lose some middle earners as much as recoup transfer fees really.

Why is it ott? You can't much nowadays for 10 million.

Neither Kitson or Lawrence did anything after leaving Stoke though did they? And we only paid £4m for Kitson after which he had a couple of seasons of being mostly wank when he wasn't training with the reserves, whilst Lawrence looked too slow for the prem and had had a serious injury.
For £10m I'd be wanting either some potential or a perhaps a player likely to make a significant improvement to my first XI. I like Wilson but objectively he's a mid table utility defender who I don't think is going to really push on massively from the form he showed in the last 1/4 of the season where he'd stopped making so many mistakes at CB. Good to have in the squad but it he really that good in any position that you'd outlay a big chunk of your budget on him? Not for me.

I wouldn't entertain selling Wilson and if it was ever a straight choice between losing Cameron and Wilson, then I wouldn't hesitate in dispensing with Cameron. However, were we to sell him to Pulis, then we need to remind Pulis that we paid 7m (or equivalent of) for Wilson on his say so and he is now a better player than the one we signed so his price must be at least 5m higher than we paid for him. Pulis also needs to remember that Wilson is/was the best left back in the Premier Leagues and several top clubs are/were tracking him. I don't even like Wilson but all that adds up to 15m at least, especially if Pulis is doing the buying! Where's seven million (or equivalent) come from? Pompey had accepted a 7m cash bid from West Ham for Wilson. We went in with cash + players. The deal was 4.5m + Lawrence + Kitson + the loans of both Sonko and Dicko with us covering all their wages. 7m is a conservative estimate of the deal and until the latter half of last season he was, at best mediocre and at worst absolutely wank. TP said he's the best left back in the league so with Shaw at 27m, if TP wants him, the bidding starts there!

Utter bollocks. Fair enough about the value though, it may have reached 7mil but I'd say at most, we struggled to get anyone interested in Kitson and Lawrence was worth a mil at most.

Imo Wilson has improved to be worth what we paid (say 5m) but since Tone overpaid once let him do so again.
I ain't willing to even consider anything less than 7.5m as I think Marc has become an important part of our team and thanks to versatility squad.
I rate Cameron too, but given a choice I'd let him go over Marc

If there was the choice between the two id ship Cameron out. And if Wilson did go I think we'd have get another in, so not really improving the wage bill
