It beggars belief how some on here can run down Nzonzi. I know he sometimes slows the play down unnecessarily, but Hughes is starting to get him to be more positive and he really is the class midfielder we need more of. He would be really difficult to replace We were fine when he was suspended weren't we? Evidently not irreplaceable. We were much better when he returned from his ban

Can't see this myself. N'Zonzi displays the quality of a lot of class players, namely he always appears to have plenty of time when he gets the ball and is not flustered. I think he still has potential to play better.
I could only see him wanting to leave for a lot more money or possibly to be more in the eye of the London media, but moving to CP is not a playing career move.
Arni and Wingie scooped most of the credits for Stoke's strong finish last season, but it was Whelan and N'Zonzi performance in the "engine room" that drove the improvement IMO.

If he was to go there it's just a money orientated move
Anelka did the same thing ....2 years and he rocks the boat so another signing on fee

We'll start the bidding at 10M Tony.

Palace do need a cm, but I can't imagine we'd sell him, or that Steven would want to join palace unless they were going to give him a raise.

We'll start the bidding at 10M Tony. Start being the operative word - try north of £15m Tony. It'd be a strange move for Palace though. They'll have to pay over the odds for a player that will be agitating for a move next summer meaning they'll make next to no money on him. All that for a mardy arse that Pulis has already had problems with.

If Pulis is chasing N'Zonzi, Pulis will catch him...! N'Zonzi really started to slow down towards the end of the season. Bad attitudes spread like wildfire in a working environment. Palace and Pulis are welcome to him.

Sunderland are being linked to Alex Tettey. I wonder if it's freeing up Cattermole to us, with N'Zonzi to Palace (or A N Other) with Sidwell replacing him as a box to box midfielder?
Just a thought. Probably (usually) well wide of the mark but you never know.

Palace and Pulis are welcome to him. Christ almighty. Some people really do deserve League One and Dave Rowson. Some people want players that actually enjoy and respect playing for Stoke, NZonzi doesn't fall into that category given he has already asked to leave the club twice and we only signed him a few years ago. He's a decent mid table player but if he was as good as he thinks he is then we'd have seen the top clubs bidding for him this summer, if all he is interested in is increasing his salary then he can go provided we get a reasonable fee (min £8-10m), I don't think he'll ever be a champions league player.

We have back up in players like Camaron, Muniesa, Wilson (Marc, not Palacios!), but Nzonzi is more refined than these guys, he is comfortable on the ball, passes well and links play up. I would hate to see him go, we could absorb the loss, but it wouldn't be easy to really replace him.

I really rate Nzonzi. However given his temperament I'd perhaps reluctantly swap him for Jedinak, plus some cash and importantly sell on clauses.

Southampton have set the bar for prices and indeed Schneiderlin is rated at £27m!!!!
So anything £20m or over given his age and experience is a barometer

Nzonzi is quality, ok he doesn't turn it on every game, if he did he would not be at Stoke. As far as I know his so called mardy arse temperament has not appeared under Hughes. His father sent Scholes an email looking to try and prize more money out of the Club, but I am assuming the player, who seems to be much happier under this regime, was not behind it. Any Press stories emerging like the Palace one could well have his Father's hand behind it. Until something actually comes out of the Player's mouth he wants away I would take it all with a pinch of salt.

We don't even know if its true about N'zonzi asking for another move and nothing has been mentioned since the players returned to training.
I mentioned in November of his first season with us how withdrawn and unhappy N'zonzi was with life under Pulis so I really can't see him going to Palace regardless of money. They won't be able to pay him much more than we do so it would be pointless.
For what its worth, miserable bastard though he seems to be at times, N'zonzi is a super player and has ALL the attributes to be a top class player.
Begovic, Shawcross, N'zonzi and Arnie are our gems and we should really be trying to avoid losing them wherever feasible to do so.
If Arsenal want N'zonzi there isn't much we can do about it but the likes of Palace should be easy to resist.

After constantly slagging Pulis off when the capped one was here Id be astonished if N'Zonzi accepted a move to Palace.
It won't even be about money as I cannot believe for one second that they could offer him more than he earns here nor could they off him better ambition to what we have currently got here.

I could take N'zonzi leaving for Arsenal or another big club, but if he went to Palace my estimation of him would go down. Also, Tone: Would you kindly fuck off trying to pinch our best midfielder? You should be after Crouch or Walters because they suit your style more. You can even have Palacios thrown in.

More clueless fucktardery from Stoke City supporters.
Like I said, it will take years to get rid of the indoctrination.

Nzonzi is the most important cog in our wheel. When he doesnt play we lose the midfield battle end of...
His attitude may stink but he would cost 20m to find an equivalent replacement

Do disrespect to Palace, but why would he take quite a notable backwards step?
Swapping a regular starting place in an established Prem team looking to finish in the top 10 on a yearly basis for a team in their 2nd season and will be down with the strugglers.. Bit of a weird one.

Nzonzi isn't too good for Palace or Stoke, he can be a good player but his lack of discipline and can't be arsed attitude, means he will never play for one of the better sides. I wouldn't mind him going if we got a good fee and it was spent with a bit more on a better all round player, with a good attitude. Can't be trusted when defending, the first goal the other night being a prime example.

It would be a calamity to lose the Zonz.
There is no equivalent player available, not at any fee we would be willing to pay anyway.

Palace fan here
Cant see this happening, doesnt make much sense and we dont offer top wages anyway.
If he was a great admirer of Pulis then maybe it would make more sense.
