One line in the Express becomes a paragraph in the pointless Clubcall - and becomes even more pointless link bait for the Sentinel. And round and round we go. As if he'd go to Palace to sit in the cage. Silly season again.

He seemed unhappy with pulis about a verbal contract that never materialised, why would he go back for more?

They won't be able to afford him, it would be a backwards step for him, he wouldn't want to play in the cage, he probably doesn't like Pulis very much, Pulis probably wouldn't want to deal with his mard-arsery again... There's nothing that makes sense about this.

fair enough article apart from the fact that he seems to point at simply the numbers to prove he apparently passes forwards far more than the previous year....he hasn't noticed that that's because he actually made more passes obviously and you need to look at the proportional figures because of that: % of passes forward 2012-2013 = 65% % of passes forward 2013-2014 = 62.8% % of passes backwards 2012-2013 = 34.7% % of passes backwards 2013-2014 = 36.6% (amazing how when you don't look at simply the numbers and actually put those numbers into context it doesn't prove his point in any way eh?) all his stats actually show is that he's passed it more, the stats actually show his "Crab" stereotype has been further proved by last season not that he's suddenly become more progressive at all. proportionately he actually passed it forwards less and backwards more last year than he did in the previous season! i also disagree with his analysis that N'Zonzi is by far, bar none the best midfielder that we have.....when he can be arsed and is on his game then yes, he is the best but what's the point of trotting that out when it doesn't always happen? in terms of consistency i'd say Whelan was definitely better over the whole season last year i think most fans would happily keep N'Zonzi anyway and very few want rid...there have been a few making comments like "Fuck him off" etc. but to try to make out like it's a standard response from the fans is massively overstating things merely to give this bloke a subject to blog about. in conclusion, a non-story really and his stats don't bear any kind of analysis as, as soon as you do look into them and put them into context, they fall down completely. see your point in that we shouldn't get rid but i'd hardly say this article is the best way to prove your point

Anywhere that Pulis is manager is probably the last place N'Zonzi wants to go.

He may be the best midfielder but doesn't suit the play.
Slows the game down too much.
We look a better balanced team with out him. Take the money and run

Anywhere that Pulis is manager is probably the last place N'Zonzi wants to go. It was an assumption that Nzonzi wanted away because of Pulis. The fact he handed a transfer request in this close season as well and that he handed a transfer request in and also went on strike at Blackburn to force a move suggests he is not the most loyal of players. Having said that though if he was going to leave it would be to a better club than Palace.

He's a fantastic midfielder and he always has been. Just wait for us to drop in form though and you'll hear that 'he needs fucking off' for 'slowing everything down' from all corners of this board.

N'Zonzi is quality plain and simple. He did have a tendeceny to slow the play down but he was much more proactive with the ball when he came back into the side last year. He's super composed, gets about the pitch brilliant and can tackle.Downside he can be a petulant little mardarse but pure ability we couldnt replace him on our budget.

He's the best midfielder we have easily. When he gets the ball, he goes into a time stop bubble and the entire pitch moves around him. I love how composed and majestic he is.

Good way of putting it and I agree 100%. I've loved watching him play since he signed. He has always been on another level to our other midfielders and now there's quality he can link up with I expect him to flourish in a big way. He just oozes quality.

Jedinak and N'zonzi are completely different players. Jedinak is a rougher version of Whelan but with less passing abilities. N'zonzi is the best passer of the ball at the club and he improved massively the second half of the season. I'm confident the best is yet to come. Especially with a new more mobile forward line in front of him.

We'll swap him for Jedinak otherwise no deal..... Nzonzi is twice the player of Jedinak. There is no way on gods earth that Nzonzi would ever play for Pulis again anyway.

His temper and attitude ..... Petulant mad arse but he is French so .... For me the sun rises and sets on our talismanic midfielder Charlie Adam(s). First name on the team sheet after Breck Shea ....
