I aren't a Cameron fan and with Muniesa at LB we can afford to have a more defensive option there. And I don't rate Bardsley either. Wilko has been a great club servant but he ain't a Premier League defender in the direction MH is steering us. Anyone who thinks Pieters won't be higher than Muniesa in the LB pecking order is deluding themselves. I like Muniesa but his best position for us could be central midfield in a playmaker role. In what way are they deluding themselves? They finished on pretty much an even keel last season. I think Pieters will start but it's bloody close.

They are deluding themselves because they hold a different opinion to mar1386. I thought everyone knew that. Bayern, you know nothing!

I just think Pieters had a great first season and the way his partnership with Arnie flourished, particularly as we became more balanced following Odemwinge's arrival, means there is no way he should be replaced as first choice LB provided of course he maintains that level of form. How many times did we actually see Muniesa play? Not that many - Everton away springs to mind, where to be fair he had a decent enough first half at CB, but joined the rest of the defence in caving in second half.

Surely he should be allowed a settling in period of at least one or two games

I suppose that depends on Pieters picking up an injury or suspension, then he'll get his chance.

Tex looked like he had a chance. Big unit, moves well, neat enough passer. How can you tell he has a big unit?
