Has anybody got any memories of famous goal celebrations from Stoke celebrations?
For me:
Ade Akinbyi the Powerade sign
Liam Lawrence celebration Coventry away

Graham Kavanagh "Clothes lining" the Hippo. Didn't he jump straight into the fans at Colchester and climb the railings at Bolton after his last minute goal whilst on loan as well?

Ric and Faye's celebration after the goal against Chelsea was pretty good.

Please tell me people remember his celebration at QRR, where he pulled the corner flag out and pretended to launch it at the QPR fans! I couldn't beleive he did it and he didn't get into any trouble for it!

Peter Beagrie for me. I was the right age to be impressed and if you think Stoke are sniffed at and ignored now we'd have been lucky to get a mention in The Advertsier at the time so it was pretty rock and fucking roll.

I liked Beattie's when he kept twatting the advertisement board.
Assaidi's this season was pretty ace too.

I remember the whole team looking up at the sky doing a bird watching celebration away at Man City. Pretty sure Ray Wallace scored the goal.
It was to take the piss out of a member of the backroom staff if I remember right.

There was the 'Come Prancing' one that became inexplicably popular at the start of the 03/04 season (or whatever the one before the binary season was).

Choreographed celebrations are wank though I know, all that shit Sturridge does fucks me right off. Prick. We tend not to do all that. Which is another reason we are ace.

Steino at the Vale - what a night, what a season, what an era for us and Stoke-on-Trent football. I wonder what those Vale folk are up to nowadays?

I think there is a gap in the celebrations market for just jogging nonchalantly back to the half way line for the kick off with no unnecessary histrionics.
It would look strangely manly and have a nice retro pre-war feel about it.

He just strolled back with a finger in the air as if ge did it every week!

Odemwingie jumping on the advertising boards has to be up there. How weird is it though that players do special celebrations - "I just scored a goal, excuse me while I do a backflip"

Another for Beagrie, more recently Liam and Beatties "Call of Duty" / "duke nukem" style effort was ok

It was the 96/97 season, I think it was not long after he had joined us, and he scored against them in the first few minutes. I remember seeing it at the time and thought I must have been mistaken, but sure enough they showed the goal on central news on the Monday and it showed him pretending to launch it like a Javelin, and all the QPR fans cowering, it was brilliant! Imagine if Shawcross does that if he scores at Arsenal,he would be banned for life!

I remember Kav jumping onto the railings at Bolton away too! He was on loan from Boro at the time I think. And Bolton's away end had a supermarket built into the corner of it if I remember right?????
Worst celebration was my own after Mama's goal against Villa in the first season in the prem, my mates were jumping all over me whilst I almost hid under my seat because I didn't want anybody to see me cry!

Graham Kavanagh "Clothes lining" the Hippo. Kav's celebrations were consistently mental. Shame he didn't score more.
