Seems a very odd one to me this, although it has been on the cards. He seems popular with the fans, they've avoided relegation and he's hardly been there two minutes. Clearly he would need longer than he's had to put his stamp on the team, and the upcoming window would have been the opportunity to get some of his own players in. If he was the right man to replace Clarke (who's sacking also looked harsh to me) why is he the wrong man now?
Next appointment's a big one for them - get this wrong and they're down next season. Who's the favourite? MacKay?

WBA are becoming a joke, with their managerial changes, fall out with players etc. Jeremy Peace is just a bit of a knob.

They appear to have imploded after always been thought of as a well run club. Hope they sort themselves out sharpish guaranteed 4/6 points a season.....

Someone hasn't managed it very well. Why would you let so many player's contracts expire at the same time? Traditionally they have been very cautious with their money. I don't know how they are going to recruit another ten players over summer. A bargain player is what, about £2M, a journeyman is say £5M, a good Prem player is about £8M and then about £15m for a 'star'
So one star, one good prem player, three journeymen and three bargains would cost them £44M. Interesting Summer they are about to have. I suspect we'll be seeing youth given it's chance at West Brom.

Did anyone watch Pepe Mel's post match interview on the BBC after our game with WBA yesterday? "Shambles" doesn't do it justice. It was the strangest thing, Mel was wittering inanely on about this and that not having really understood any of the questions. Occasionally his interpreter would chip in and repeat the question to him in his native tongue and even then he would answer some question other than the one put to him
