Please God let them appoint Sherwood. That would be hilarious. Would be a good appointment, he'd be stupid t take it though with the state of their squad. A good appointment for everyone in the bottom half, absolutely. Would be an absolute pisser for the rest of us to see that wand taking them down.

I think they're certainties for the drop next season. Where are their goals going to come from next season? I don't see them spending much either and judging by the names they're being linked with (Mackay and Hughton) they're dead and buried.

Why would you want a team that are a gauranteed 6 points for us every season to go down? I want West Brom to be in the same division as us until the day i die!

I quite like Sherwood.
Wears his heart on is sleeve and is a character. He sticks out like a sore thumb due to the 'grey' nature of modern day football.
We need more like him IMO.

Steve Clarke would be a good choice for the Albion....they were damm lucky to avoid the drop last season. A previously well run club that have managed to f..ck things right up.

Managerless West Brom release five players and return 5 loanees back to their parent clubs. Empty dressing room...I see they've re signed the only two I'd want in Brunt and Dorrans. Seems peace has admitted his mistakes and is prepared to spend and has just appointed Terry Burtton, the arsenal youth development manager as his sporting director. They may not be as bad as we hope next year but they have a massive summer ahead.

They may not be as bad as we hope next year but they have a massive summer ahead. "massive summer ahead" is right mate. A good mate of mine and a life long baggies fan has had his head in his hands for a season and a half. He wasn't convinced with Clarke who didn't seem to have a plan B when things weren't going right and built a team around Lukaku who was never going to stay and wasn't replaced. Mel was looked at in December but him and the club couldn't agree on backroom staff but lo and behold he was eventually hired but only on an 18 month contract which didn't instil much confidence and now he's gone. Five players released and all loanees returned is certainly clearing the decks but they have to spend a lot and/or be very lucky with youngsters/unknowns. They don't look very attractive for any decent player to sign for. Tough times ahead.

Funny to think he'd be our third-choice left back these days. Same with Ridgewell, who we were also interested in. Back then he would have walked into our side, now he's not even worth an enquiry on a free transfer.
