Much as I'd love to see him signed up this week, from previous experience I just can't see us signing anyone until we are back from Germany next week. Possibly Bojan might sign for us but we won't see him until next week either, that's IF he even signs!

I'd be happy if we paid 7m for him. Fantastic player. you must mean on a computer game He's quality and we've hardly spent a penny.

you must mean on a computer game He's quality and we've hardly spent a penny. Just because we have not spent big money on transfer fees doesn't mean we have not spent and it does not justify paying over the top for players he has shown quality at times but has also still has a lot to prove, injuries, stamina etc

Realistically he's probably worth 4-5m. Maybe more considering some of the fees clubs seem to he paying for players.
I don't see what the moaning is about.

I just think he's worth £7m, and given some of the money we've spent on far worse players, I would not be disappointed if we splashed that sort of cash on him.

Now that we have Bojan, will we still be in for Ossie?

The Ossie signing will be the last of our business no doubt but what a great transfer window. I can see a very good cup run this season with the squad we have. Great work Stoke

Telegraph Stoke's pursuit of Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi is hanging in the balance, however, over personal terms.
Liverpool had agreed an initial £4.5million fee but the deal is now in doubt after Assaidi's representatives stunned Stoke with their wage demands.

A bit odd.
Not named in their 33-man touring squad.
As much chance as Jimmy Tarbuck of getting a game for Liverpool.
And then proceeds to demand huge wages.
Well, good luck to him.

I honestly don't think he has done enough to justify top dollar. For me he needs to improve his end product, with Diouf in the middle we need good service, Arnie will provide from the left, but I honestly don't rate Assaidis end product. Bit like a Moroccan Beagrie, far too much fannying around. I'd prefer Redmond to be honest.

I'd agree with your comments about Assaidi, but not too sure that Redmond is really any better tbh. I think Redmond is on a par with Ossie at the moment but has the potential to improve a lot more. His wage demands wouldn't be as mucha nd if he does do well he could also be one we move on in the future for a good profit. That said I'd also be happy with Ossie

He is but Redmond doesn't always make the correct decision and doesn't always get his head up. It's something he can and will learn over time. Ossie does fanny about but sometimes doing this means others can get in and around the box. Pro's and Cons with both of them.

I think both would become good players for us, but I would prefer Redmond of the two. Assaidi is very quick on the first 2-3 yards, but after that his pace seems quite ordinary. Redmond on the other hand seems to have more pace for 15-20 meters than Assaidi, but is probably just as quick on the first 2-3 yards as well. As Redmond is English he won't disappear because of the African Cup of nations either!
