Anyone know enough about Portuguese to say how to pronounce Teixeira? In my own mind I've been pronouncing it Tesheera. I suppose it doesn't matter how Dionatan is pronounced - he's going to get called Johnny, isn't he? I'm waiting to see what McGarry does before making a decision.

should knightly edu jerome shotton ness and shea be off or not included in the 25 names,i make 22 players ,therefore 3 places left, ive included teixeira and n zonzi.what steven plans, this week? Depending on his D.O.B. Teixeira may not need to be named in the squad.

22 years old on the 24th july lakeland Potter I suspect that means he has to be named in the 25 if we want to play him. I'm not sure of the exact rules but if he's 22 before the season starts I don't think he can be counted as under the age limit.

Any one of us can say that we've signed for Stoke, it means nothing until Stoke themselves confirm it, which they haven't.

Need to keep an eye on our homegrown players quota. We have some leeway yet I recall, especially with the likes of Huth and Begovic classing as home grown.

Need to keep an eye on our homegrown players quota. To ensure that Premier League Clubs continue to produce top home-grown talent, the 20 Clubs introduced a Home Grown Player rule from the start of the 2010/11 campaign. Clubs cannot name more than 17 non home grown players aged over 21. For example some clubs will have a squad list of 23 because they may have 17 over 21 non home grown players. www.premierleague.com/en-gb/clubs/profile.squads.html/stokeLooks like we have 10 hg at the moment Interestingly, Bardsley qualifies as home grown but Adam doesn't!

Isn't that to do with Adam starting his career at Rangers and Bardsley starting at Man United rather than being Scottish, still a bit of a joke. That's right - Danny Collinsho started in the Welsh League, so was not home grown either. That Bego and Huth are home grown, as they started their careers at Pompey and Chelsea, shows the farce it is! Fabregas is in demand by the top clubs, I am sure, with one eye on the home grown requirement, as he qualifies too, from his Arsenal days. It is true that, if Walters, Kightly, Jerome and Shotton left, and were all replaced by non-home grown players, it could get a bit tight. We may need to try to add one or two more English schooled players, so the likes of Redmond, Ince and Moses may come into the equation if the Assaidi deal falls through due to injury/fee concerns.

Good to hear from you again Sopendal. Do you know if Stoke have agreed a fee with his club yet and when do you expect confirmation of the transfer? Yes to the agreement and now being strictly "FIFA and FA official" - the transfer window opens on July 1st if I am not mistaken, so the confirmation, officially, can only happen then.. as for the real life - take it as confirmed

Jamie ness was 22 at the start of the season and he did not need to be included, I think it's 23 years and over you have to be named
