Perhaps this. Adam Bond @ab0nd · 4h Stoke City have signed Brazilian born centre back Dionatan Teixeira for around £600,000 He has joined following a successful trial #SCFC How can this be so? the transfer window is shut okie. You can still buy players while the window is shut you just can't register them. The transfer technically goes through the minute the window opens. Man U have done it for years

is a Brazilian-born Slovak football defender who currently plays for the Slovak Corgo? Liga club Banská Bystrica and he is also member of Slovakia national under-21 football team.
A Brazilian born Slovak!? that has to be a first at Stoke.

Views of him from a Slovakian.
zix ?@zix759 4h @bayernoatcake1 @tmortimerftbl Teixeira is a decent centre back. He is left footed, he can pass very well and is also quick.
zix ?@zix759 4h @bayernoatcake1 @tmortimerftbl he's got a good season. But you know. Its only slovak league.. But Nemanja Matic started career in Kosice too
zix ?@zix759 4h @bayernoatcake1 @tmortimerftbl I can doubt that he is ready for PL. But he still only 21 years old, so could work in a future
zix ?@zix759 4h @bayernoatcake1 @tmortimerftbl He was on trials: M'Brough, City, B'burn, N'castle. None of the transfers happend. This will disturb me a bit

If he's good on the ball we might even make him into that big midfield destroyer we need. Didn't Yaya start at CB?

A move in the right direction. The way forward. He'll be on bigger wages at Stoke (but not massive) and then give him the incentive for mega bucks like the others earn. Donkey and Carrot...hopefully not a donkey.

Well, i guess it was not that hard to figure it out;) i've known the guy for years now personally, so you can take my word on what i wrote before. Hope your management team is seriously thinking about bringing him in, i am truly convinced he will do great. Looking forward to flying over to see his first game, heard only the best feedback from him on your club.. Also- glad you traveled to our little country, not exactly the primary destination for tourists

You English is excellent - have you lived or worked outside Slovakia in the past - or are your schools simply better at teaching languages than ours are?

I would happily check it out.. yes, both lived and worked. I guess when your native language is slovak, which obviously is not really used around the world , then the schools better be good at teaching some of the major foreign languages;)

Our manager Mark Hughes was coach at Manchester City a few years ago. Do you know if Dionatan and Mark Hughes were at Manchester City at the same time. I think one of them left in the same year that the other one arrived. Did Dionatan meet Mark Hughes when he played in England - is this why Hughes is interested in signing him? If he does sign for us and you come over to see him play, then Manchester Airport is the closest one to Stoke - maybe 50kms away.

So who are we comparing him to? i truly believe PL is exactly what he was born for, great physical player but also has his "brazilian blood" in terms of good technical skills, passing abilities etc.. And btw it would be worth to try him also as a defensive midfielder..

When I was in Slovakia on the train I remember seeing a big castle on a hill to the left as we were heading west, I've always wondered what/where it was, any ideas?
