Ruel Fox (Norwich, 1987) Leigh Jenkinson (Hull, 1992) Trevor Sinclair (Blackpool, 1993) David Kerslake (Swindon, 1990) Micky Hazard (Portsmouth, 1990) Steve Morgan (Plymouth, 1993) Robbie Fowler (Liverpool, 2000) John Jeffers (Vale, 1989)
They are the ones that have haunted me following individual games anyway.

Hudson for Stoke.
Genius of a player. Shame he's making a cunt of himself now though every time he opens his gob.
Other- John Barnes in his heyday was sublime, as was George Best.

Hudson for me. A close second would be that George bloke. No, not George Best, George Berry - great hair control.

Best Stoke player - A?an Hudson Best player ever - Henrik Larsson I know it's based on how they played on that day, but for me zlatan is a far better player than Larsson was. Having said that when saying who's the best swedish player, none of zlatans family is swedish. He's more Bosnian/croatian. Never seen Ibrahimovic live; seen plenty of Larsson though. Remember this thread is about players you've seen live. Larsson was extraordinary. Great player with a great attitude.

Been fortunate enough to see Ronaldo (when we were beat 5-0 at OT), Kaka in a Brazil v Argentina friendly in 2005 and Messi for Barcelona v Osasuna in march this year. 3 of the 4 best players since 2000 (never saw Zidane) and I think Ronaldo just scraps it from Messi. Kaka ran penalty box to box to score too. For Stoke, I think the fella who played in goal v Leicester in 2008 (Steve banks?) stands out for me You've totally lost me there, mate. The best player you've seen play for Stoke was in goal for us against Leicester in 2008 and you think his name was Steve Banks? Steve Banks played for us in 2002/03 and he was a goalkeeper. Now i'm obviously still lost because he's not very good, so that leads me to believe that you're being sarcastic? Or do you think that a player who played in goal for us against Leicester in 2008 is the best Stoke player you've ever seen? Carlo Nash like? Like i say It was Carlo Nash I was thinking of. Not the best player I've seen play for us, but an individual performance in 1 game that was top drawer.

Banksy and Huddy because they made things look so simple; Banksy's understanding of angles made his saves look quite ordinary, he rarely had to pull off the spectacular because he had it covered. Huddy, once on the ball, seemed to have so much time it was as if he'd actually slowed time down, before spraying a rediculously inch perfect pass. He really did walk on water.
Non-Stoke: In the 1970's Rothman's Isthmian League, Enfield F.C. had a striker called Dennis Gill, he would beat everyone on the pitch, sometimes twice just for fun, score, then in celebration just stand and split his sides laughing at how easy it had all been!

Messi for Barca or Ronaldo for Portugal. Probably Messi on the day. You did well to get to both games on the same day.

Carrick when West Ham came down to the championship. Everything that day went through him pure class. For us I'd go with Hooky Vs Reading. Although Tunc vs Fulham in the snow was impressive if memory serves me correctly.

For stoke Hoekstra vs reading, ill never forget sitting in the boothen as a 13 year old with my old man and seeing the terror in nicky shoreys eyes as hoekstra came tearing towards him to win the penalty which he then converted (so cooly) to complete a famous hat trick, just 7 days after another stoke hero of mine scored his last hat trick at the brit, all be it for cardiff
Against stoke for me has to be Giggs vs united at the brit in the second season in the prem, he came off the bench at 0-0 and although we never looked like winning we looked reasonably comfortable at the back and gigs came on and absolutely ran the show setting up berbatov and oshea.
Non stoke related - david beckham. My all time hero and the first time i saw him play was at OT for England v Wales. He scored the 2nd in a 2-0 win and it was a wonderful goal - my all time fav non stoke football player/moment.

Best player for Stoke - probably Huddy amongst the outfield players - although Banks was special. Best player against Stoke on a regular basis - probably George Best - he had the skill of Ronaldo without the cheating. Pity it all turned to rat shit in his late 20s. Have to agree on both counts mate.Although Chamberlain was dynamic at times and Micky Thomas bought the house down with his dedication to the badge

Have to agree on both counts mate.Although Chamberlain was dynamic at times and Micky Thomas bought the house down with his dedication to the badge Thomas was consistently one of the best players I've ever seen for Stoke. Chambo was the most unbelievably exciting player - never heard a roar before or since like the one he used to get everytime someone passed the ball to him. Against Stoke, I'd go for Keegan playing for Southampton in 82. Ginola in the cup game against us was a genius, only spoiled by some of the worst cheating/diving I'd ever seen - the like of which is now commonplace in just about every Premier League game.

Gerrard in the cup final against West Ham. I'm no Liverpool fan but he became a legend to me that day.
Beckham v Greece 2001. A true captains performance and when I see "that" free kick it sends a shiver down my spine.
Against Stoke, I'll get my tin hat on, but for me every time I see him Suarez is phenomenal.
For Stoke Chamberlain was awesome, just awesome, still my favourite footballer ever!
In modern times, Walters in the semi v Bolton was brilliant, and Shawcross every time we play Arsenal. Just the sight of him, seems to wind them up something rotten
