This is nothing short of a witch hunt. There was absolutely nothing in this tackle as the tv pundits have already commented. However the FA may choose to have a much closer look at the over the ball tackle from Luiz. Now that was deliberate and nasty. The Daily Mail should be absolutely ashamed of this blatent continual attack on Adam and deserve to be sued.

Typical Daily Fail non-story. Adam trod on his foot with no intent. No story for the game so Daily Fail invent one.

It's basically just the London media mafia isn't it? They cannot get over any perceived slight against Arsenal or Tottenham. Sissies, the lot of them.

I've given up trying to defend Charlie... crunched in and then tried to follow up with a niggly kick. Love him for it when it works. But concentrate on the nogger when we're not fighting for survival. Stupid boy.

Just where was his foot supposed to go?
As they said on Sky, when you show it slow motion it looks far far worse than it actually was.
No intent.
Not nasty.
Nothing to see here (apart from the Daily Mail shit stirring).
Now Luiz's challenge... that's a different thing....

i noticed that the elbow in the face that crouchie received from matic did not warrant any slow-mo replays from the bastards...... but to be fair charlie is a dirty fucker, and needs to cut it out of his game and show a bit more maturity

I feared the worst when I saw Schurrle go down so dramatically and was fully expecting the slow-mo replays to reveal something sufficiently nasty to warrant another (perhaps justified) bit of Adam bashing.
But there is no way on earth that any action should be forthcoming for that incident.

After taking the ball cleanly I fail to see anywhere else his foot could have possibly gone.

It wasn't the only unpunished offence, in the game; but that doesn't excuse Charlie. Nasty f*cker. When we were little, after a game he'd have been frequently found in the little patch of bushes behind the bus shelter. And someone would have had to take him back to his house ... And that person would probably have got a shouting at from his mum, because of the state he was in ... And then the next week ... Shame, he's a talented lad - and I think he will get away with straight-legging this one - but I hope we move him on in the summer; there have been a small number over the years, at Stoke and he is another one of them I would sooner not have to support.

If Adam gets banned the FA should really look at themselves. How could Fellaini's elbow not result in a ban, and if Adam does get banned the FA is officially biased.

A ban for unintentionally treading on a foot?????? It wouldn't surprise me tbh To be fair, they should follow the precedent set. Unintentionally treading on giroud was a 3 match ban. So should this. Obviously i dont think he should be banned, but the precedent says he should. Anyone know why unintentionally treading on someone is worse than unintentionally elbowing in the face or the like??? Never get 3match bans for those.

I don't think there will be any review as they would have to ban Luiz for his over the ball challenge on Pieters.

Alternatively, it's not a conspiracy and if Adam really wants to avoid this sort of thing he needs to, you know, stop kicking people.

Charlie Adam is fat and slow. Fat and slow means you end up late and take risks. Until he sorts himself out and gets fit and stops visiting a greasy spoon for his extra portions of white pudding and square sausage this type of thing is going to happen.
I think I much prefer Ireland in the attacking mid role anyway. Big chic is good but he will always have this nasty side to his game.

He's gone in for a (standing) 50/50 and the follow through has caught the player?
I've not been seeing that since my school yard days, have I?

I got the impression that he out in some more weight during his ban. If gets another one he would have to get his kit from the oversized shop.
