If sjw had been available today odie or Arne might have been on the bench, their contribution to this game was immense, plus we played a superb passing game in the 2nd half, that would not have happened if sjw would have been playing, and isn't it nice to see our midfield not being restricted by pulis's cage

HA HA AH , OK as the biggest Walters basher on here, even I am wondering why we need yet another Walters thread started! Lets just say we didn't miss him at all and leave it at that!

We were very good without him today and we didn't miss him one bit. It at least dispels the myth that we wouldn't cope well without him.
However this isn't really the time to be having a dig at him. Let's just enjoy it while it lasts.

Or maybe he would have scored 5 goals and scissored Fat Sam on the center circle at half time... My point is you can't say what would've happened had we been able to play Walters because we have no idea because it didn't fucking happen. Maybe he would have had the game of his life, maybe he wouldn't have been picked. Either way it doesn't matter and this is just an awful excuse to continue bashing a player who has had one of his better seasons, even if he did set a fucking low bar previously... These hypotheticals do my nut in, totally irrelevant!

Walters out and the most creative we have been all season I've not enjoyed a sat home game like that for a while. For those who thought we would miss him take a good look at the players that replaced him enough said. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Walters I can see some light at the end of the tunnel sorry Walters but bye bye your time is up.

Nice player to have in the squad but he is not vital in every match.

Exactly - a really valuable squad player and if certain people cant see what he has done for this club in the past few seasons it is they who are blind.

I don't think we would have won if he played today.
Breath of fresh air to see footballers on the pitch.

We don't know if we would have won the games mentioned but the proof of the football played without Walters is there today. Why don't you mention the games lost at old Trafford and Liverpool and many more due to Walters poor quality. Bye bye Walters once again the future is brighter without you thanks but no thanks Walters for your fuck ups.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, something something poop and pee.
If we weren't playing West Ham then our defensive mistakes may have meant we'd have lost that game.
It's Jon by the way, he's played over 150 games for Stoke City and some folk don't even know his bloody name.
I blame Mikel Tongue myself.

Very narrow minded.
If a player goes unnoticed then 'fans' say little, but then again you wouldn't notice, only when he fucks up. Don't get me wrong, I despair when Jon is in front of goal, but I can also appreciate his defensive/containing qualities, it's a shame some can't.

Winston Palacious on the other hand...

Funny that the same manager that has brought in some of the players we are quite rightly getting excited about also rates Jonny Walters so highly - think about it!

One thing we all have in common, whether a fan of Walters or not. That's, nobody can see what FOOTBALL skills he contributes during a game. We're informed every week that we need him and managers pick him, yet no one has given a description of what he does, nor do the stats help. It's been said on many occasions that we're just not seeing what he brings to the table, just see how we'll struggle without him. Well I hope we struggle every week to the end of the season without him.

He slows the play down and takes 4/5 touches when 1 is needed. I highly doubt (is that better) that we would have scored the third if he was playing. And the second required a basic level of touch and movement that he doesn't possess either.

The way Ireland missed those 2 pretty easy chances in the first half today, I thought Walters was on the pitch !

So what does Mark Hughes find so good about him then Bayern? There must be something or he would be doing a Matty E and sitting on the bench week in week out!
