I think before you all start predicting riots against the dynamic duo, you should remember that at least 95% of Stoke fans won't have been on the Oatcake yesterday(if ever), and that at least 80% of those wouldn't know Scholes and Cartwright if they saw them in a brothel. The only targets the crowd will have for any poor result are the players and the manager. If Hughes shows some cojonés and goes with an attacking lineup with our latest signings, and the team put in a valiant effort, the lack of action on deadline day won't even seem relevant to most people. Please, guys, climb down from your arses and view the world from outside this message board.

We should be ready to raise the roof if Newcastle score.
A bit petty maybe - but Sunderlands behaviour is disappointing.
I'm not sure that Cattermole would have been such a good buy - his style of play wouldn't enhance our reputation - something to be considered for the future.
If Huth is able to slot back in, then the defence should be a bit more organised.
Let's use our energy to get behind the team, they will have a very tough task today.

surely this debacle is down to the scouting network and scholes , which is where any anger should be pointed , hughes would have put his targets to them and then they should do the job they are paid for and get em signed however they failed with applomb
