We have guidetti and crouch, odemwingie will be a good back up player who has experience in the prem should we need it. KJ should be rotting in the lower leagues, and hopefully cardiff will help him by taking him there .

This might just have proven to Coates that he can't trust Hughes with any of his money

Hardly a rock the world signing.. and hes knocking on a bit... so clearly quite short termist.... but unless you think he offers less than Kenwyne... when you replace one squad player with one who offers more... that by definition is progression.

At the minute jones is doing fuck all for us anyway! Its not what we all hope for but its a change. I know we have got him a couple of seasons late and he hasn't done much for a while but its something different than what we had. Not saying it will work out but think the guy needs a chance before anythings being said. May I just add to this there is on this board supporters that will slag off any player we sign saying "he is past it " crap signing .That is before he even gets to the ground let alone put the shirt onHow I have read it we have £3m for kj and a player thrown as well .This player is just cover for the out going kj so what is the worry ? .We still have time to get some one else in

The same people who slag him off are probably the ones who don't slag arnie and nzonzi off! The guy needs a chance before anythings even said about him.

How many minutes would Jones have played in the next six months? How many goals would he have scored How many options does he give us when he plays? How many offers would have come in for him now when he has six month contract left and supposedly on 40k a week?
PO scored Prem goals as a 31 yo player At 33 he still has the chance to half as many as he got at 31 so I can't see anything bad in this as we have nothing to lose. There is simply no point in having Jones on our books on his contract and wages - its as simple as that

There is simply no point in having Jones on our books on his contract and wages - its as simple as that I agree in part it's the length of the deal that's worrying PO will offer more than KJ no doubt but next season who's to say PO won't become what KJ is this season, an ageing striker that nobody wants on a similar contact to KJ is on and as Kj is PO has proved himself a temperamental character if not being played?
