Any other club to take KJ in January? Doubtful! Bit like a free bet on BET365, but we must get one of the main targets though!

God bless anyone who can see any positives in this deal. I believe that a player that is in a team that they are happy in and get on with all the players and the manager plays them correctly - they play well.... lets hope he returns to what he was like at the beginning of of his wba career

Backwards move how can a 32 year old be a progressive move. Hopeless!!!! At least you won't have to watch him then. Mark Hughes If Hughes becomes our manager then I won't be renewing my season ticket. Can only assume that John Coates being a Man Utd fan wants this appointment! initially i was pretty underwhelmed. However i'm growing to the idea and it could be a decent bit of business. he's a finisher and you don't lose that. he'll pick up on scraps and is much more mobile than crouchy and KJ. not as bad as it may seem. he needs our support though...

I reckon Odemwinge offers us much more options on the pitch than KJ will give Cardiff. The only reason we had KJ AND Crouch was so we had cover for Tp's system of play .
We are never going to evolve with so many players of the same type but you can't change the team in a season either - hopefully this buys us time and if it really went well gets us at the top of relegation scrap of the bottom 10 clubs.

I reserve the right to be a complete hypocrite on this! Until he is shown holding his Stoke shirt in front of the main stand I will have concerns that he is another Alan Suddick (he is the same age, had been a very good player and appears to have been signed in similar circumstances). However, once he is shown holding his shirt, I will be fighting his corner with the Baggies fans at work and seeing him as a player whose knowledge and experience will make up for any loss of pace. It is the only way to stay even remotely sane.

I can see him doing a job coming on from the bench and snatching the winner for us in a few games, hopefully the last game of the season. I will be happy.

Could odemwingie score the goal that keeps us up and sends baggies down at the hawthorns final day? Potentially, what dreams r made of is that! Why the hell would you wish WBA to go down? They have never done anything wrong to us

I have a very very bad feeling about this. I was feeling quite optimistic before the news came in. I hope to be proved wrong.

I'd heard we'd a swap deal lined up with Maiga for Wingie but you guys outsmarted us.
Seriously though - if you've rid the squad of a poison in the camp and big wage to boot and brought in someone who gives Hughes options he didn't previously, I can't see what there is to complain about.

Be honest when was the last time we were losing or drawing and needed a goal or two and saw KJ coming on and thought yeah he might win this for us.
Jones ended up the same way at Stoke as he did at Sudentenland - Odemwinge might just score a few goals this season and maybe he won't be driving off to another club too soon.

This place is is beyond a joke!!
Jones needed shipping out fast. £40k a week wages and not even making the bench. Great move to get him out now.
PO was a decent player 18 months ago. It's a World Cup year, he has pace (SOMETHING WE HAVE BEEN CRYING OUT FOR!!!), he has something to prove and can play up front on his own or on either in the inside forward positions.
I think it's a good move, yes it's short term but it's clear for all to see the purse strings have been well and truly tightened.
Let's get to that 40 point and look again in summer
And finally give PO a chance.
Go on Stoke

God bless anyone who can see any positives in this deal. God bless anyone who's as negative as you. Just like Walters, PO can also be used on the wing. Regardless of age, he's definitely a Walters upgrade. THAT's positive, isn't it?

Cunning plan to get Diouf....start by giving KJ to Cardiff....them and it would appear West Ham now at the market.

A bit leftfield and low-cost also, something like £600K each for the loan. Got a feeling our football with have to adapt a bit too.. Dressing- room should be interesting with Geordie Jesus, "Overchuffed" Carlton, Nolan, Downing, Cole, Relegation Roger and the loans a frees crew mixing with these guys but the last time we brought in two overseas players together (Tevez & Macherano) it didn't work out well!!

On a positive not, we have got rid of a player who didn't want to play for and stopped him for a player who does, Not strictly true! Odemwingie had a choice between Stoke and Cardiff on the same terms but choose Cardiff in the summer

i'm happy to bide my time and see what happens.
I never take anything for granted with strikers. Steino was nothing special at QPR or Oxford. I remember being happy to get rid of that donkey Keith Scott but not overly enthusiastic about getting old Big Ears in exchange. He certainly proved me wrong. You just never know with strikers and I'd prefer him to become a hero than decide he's not good enough before he even kicks a ball.
Let's get behind the lad like only we can.
Come on you rip roaring Potters!
P.S. You can tell I've had a beer!
