Palace fans seem to think they are going to get this lad, spoke to a guy this morning who said Moody spotted him, but Pulis hasn't seen him play. So that's holding up their bidding.

Knowing Pulis as we do I'd say they've got no fucking chance of signing him. "Emmanuel!!! Nahhhh Nigels, sounds like a right woofter. 'Emman-u-bloody-el' what kind of a name is that and they say he's foreign. How tall is he? 5'11 FUCK OFF!"

Though I'd prefer Pulis to sign Walters (5m... or 15m based on Tones valuation) and then we use that cash to fund a transfer for a new striker/winger.

Pulis might enjoy sticking it to Scholes & Co. Then loan Emmanuel out to Barnsley for the rest of the season.

Or a winky face thing would have done.
Good news though (if we can rely on it).

2 members of Stokes transfer-team are travelling to Chasselay tomorrow ........ for AS Monaco's French Cup game with Monts d'Or Azergues Foot
If Riviere impresses Stoke would slap 7-8 million on the table for a permanent move
Don't have any info as to who is going

Dunno how reliable this source is (probably not very!) but a ludicrous asking price of 12m euros is mentioned. link And if the name Crystal Palace was mentioned, it is rather West Ham and Stoke City that have approached the club in the principality. Thus, nearly € 12 million are claimed for Riviere, under contract until June 2017 on the Rock, a figure that has been confirmed by a source close to the player.
"Emmanuel is obviously not immune to the appeal of English clubs. But he is under contract until 2017 in Monaco and it was not planned to go especially if his playing time remains correct. And then, as Monaco claims € 12 million, I do not see how a club could bring the money this winter for him. "
The signing of this winter Lacina Traoré finally will not even appear as a threat because the former striker of Anzhi will probably be loaned to Everton. Apart from Traoré no other striker should land on the Rock, which will allow Riviere to continue to play regularly with Radamel Falcao and Anthony Martial ...

Wow. Bit of a difference there; €12m or £6.5m.
I'm sue even Tony Scholes can work out which is better.
Bollox on the block time Les; if he's as good as you think, he's definitely got to be worth that.

SentinelPlayer Watch sources suggest Stoke see Riviere as the real deal following the disappointment of missing out on other strike targets, such as West Brom's Shane Long and Mame Biram Diouf of German club Hannover.
Stoke technical director Mark Cartwright is believed to have already seen Riviere play several times, suggesting he was always the club's prime target, and not fellow Monaco forward Lacina Traore, who has also been linked with the Potters.

What does this mean? We're not sure if Cartwright has definitely seen him but we can tell you that Cartwright is suggesting he's the club's prime target? Spinks does write some nonsense at times.
