Absolutely fucking awesome Ryan, even the commentator loved you. Without him we'd be well and truly fucked. Defended superbly all round, great point.

With Shawcross = 1-1, without him = 0-6

Remarkable display.
A few more of them performances and perhaps every other English defender coming down with a mysterious disease that makes football related limbs fall off, and he may just go to Brazil.

He'll be off to Brazil.
And whisper it quietly.. He's actually really good on the ball.

One of Pieters best too, I thought. It looks like his red-and-white-striped blood is coming along nicely. His Hulk impression after making two consecutive blocks was Huthesque.

Shawcross was immense, but Pieters also deserves some credit for a superb performance. The entire back four was quality.

He was excellent but Pieters gets MOTM for me. Thought he was outstanding and looked determined to make up for a very poor display at Spurs.

awesome Shawcross. And he brought the ball out of defence about 4 times in the first half and started building our play.
His reading of the game is just amazing, hes always there on the cover to help out his teammates.

Fantastic from Shawcross and Wilson. But Nzonzi was half a sleep. Whelan run the midfield for us today. Well done Glennis.

Quality coaching is the reason.
Improvements in all aspects of Ryans game. Defensive and offensive. He is a little inconsistent still. But if he plays like this consistently and he starts scoring goals again he has to go to Brazil.
Wilson has been a revelation as well .

He should do it more often! Some of the balls he plays down the right hand side are midfielder worthy. I think if we had a more out and out winger on the right who can whip in some crosses, we could have some real joy down that side.

If every English centre half was injured, Woy would take Huddlestone, Carrick, Parker, and Barry to cover. It just won't happen!

Magnificent performance from the whole back four but Ryan and Erik were immense.
They would have never have scored in a month of Sundays if it wasn't for that thick twat Pennant.

He was well and truly awesome today, absolutely immense. Everything that was chucked at him he more than dealt with and really got us moving forward.
Credit should also go to Wilson and Pieters, who also had very good games.
