Looks like the bubble's well and truly burst.
I think people were getting a bit OTT with their start to the season where, fair enough, they took some teams by surprise but I don't think they've got the strength in depth to sustain it.
If we get it right in January I think we can finish above them and Swansea.

I agree, they've got more quality than that Hull team.

They are still a good side and have a core of talented young players who will only get better if the top teams don't come sniffing around. People going on about them breaking into the top four were definitely going way over the top in their praise of them but they will finish fairly comfortably in the top ten I should imagine.

4 of their starting back 5 are out injured along with Wanyama. Their initial success was built on having a very tight defence. Once their first choice players start filtering back in, we'll see if they recover form.

Strength and depth is right, they've been hit hard with injuries lately (Wanyama, Clyne, Boruc, Shaw + Lallana with a knock before today)
That said we've lost Huth and had a few scares ourselves in recent weeks with Shawcross, Pieters and Begovic.

What annoys me is that the pundits in Norway are very quick to praise clubs like Shampton, WBA and Swansea when they are doing well, but when we have a good run they say things like,"are Stoke really a top ten contender"! We never seem to get any credit when deserved while Swansealona, West Brazil and Sotton are such fantastic and exciting Clubs, arghhh!!!

Also find it funny how the media slate us for loaning Lukaku yet never mention Newcastle loaning Remy who has scored as many goals as Romelu hmm I wonder why that is could it be that the cunts are scared we can smash their little apple cart of the "sky super 6" (despite us finishing ahead of Liverpool last 2 seasons) winds me right up.

We've had plenty of praise over the years, stop being so paranoid.

We've had plenty of praise over the years, stop being so paranoid. Correct. Even at this point last year some were touting us for potentially bridging the gap to the top 8, especially after Boxing Day.

Saints have a horrendous injury list right now and its clear from yesterday that the depth of the squad needs working on. Gazzaniga is too raw, Hooiveld is a donkey, Yoshida is woeful and Danny Fox is League one standard at best.
No Nathaniel Clyne, Victor Wanyama nor Luke Shaw and somehow Fonte on the bench. Young Chambers did well at right back mind. They even had an 18 year old, Sam Gallagher come on, thats how on their bare arses they are right now.
Once they get all their players back, most importantly, their back four and goalkeeper then they will push on again.

They've had a cracking start to the season for them, whilst they spent big in September I see them making one or two additions to push them on in the second half, if we manage to make the additions we are being linked with I think we could be battling with them for 10th/9th...
Everyone was saying how well their season was going, we're only 3 points behind them, I'm also happy with the lack of praise we're getting, we're quietly going about our business this year. Managed to sneak into the top half for Christmas without anyone really noticing!

Made up to see them found out, their support started to get big headed talking of top 4 and the media hype was nauseating, reminded me of when villa were the media darlings under o'neil whilst they were spending silly money yet still finishing below us whilst we never got a mention other than which of our players would leave for a "money club" Makes you laugh how football was invented in 1992 and a club is judged on the size of its spending power.

Southampton's performance at The Brit made me suspicious. They were in very good form at the time with an excellent defensive record and to be honest, they looked no better than any of the other bottom 6 scrappers we've seen this season. I'm not 100% convinced by Pochettino either, but I think that may just be because I don't like him. I reckon they're in for a second half of the season plummet.

The last few seasons we have ridiculous levels of praise at times - best defense in Europe went on for ages last autumn, there has even been early season champions league talk a few times. No conspiracy here.
