He seems desperately low on confidence. fuck knows what he was trying to do when he was one-on-one with the one-paced danny graham. and he keeps losing out on aerial balls to the edge of the area because he's not tight enough

You mean the one on one where he was covering two men for Cameron, who managed to get completely lost twice? He's our only defender tonight and that's been the case far too often this season.

Shawcross has been the best player on the pitch so far. Won everything he's had to, and is constantly telling his teammates where to be.

I don't think he is his usual confident self, looking a bit shaky but I suppose his discomfort could be because yet again he has to keep covering Cameron who is constantly out of position.

Ryan has made some perfectly timed blocks .... I personally think Arnie needs to be dropped for a couple of games to show him he's not as good as he thinks he is.

Pete, I think that Cameron isn't quite as good as normal because he isn't getting the support he usually gets from Walters.

shawcross has been superb, I was perhaps going through a spell of worry when sagbo had his chance, I thought shawcross should have been tighter in the build up
we've been comfortable most of this half, wish we had some firepower

Pete, I think that Cameron isn't quite as good as normal because he isn't getting the support he usually gets from Walters. Aka someone doing his defending for him. we are struggling in both full back areas, muniesa struggled badly again and Cameron is a constant worry defensively, the centre backs at times are getting dragged out of position too many times, but as the game wore on our midfield took over tonight and we didn't look in too much trouble I think we're stuck with these full backs hopefully they'll learn quickly

Outstanding performance from our captain and a well deserved man of the match. Looks like Mark and his team have taken his abilities to the next level. Excellent coaching.

As good as Ryan was I thought Wilson was even better. The lad as stepped in these last couple of weeks and looked a class act

He played an absolutely magnificent ball down the line for Assaidi during the 2nd half.
Shawcross is certainly growing in confidence with the ball at his feet and WILL be on the plane to Brazil come the summer.
