The lack of threads/posts this evening concerning him has surprised me. Thought it was a completely inept performance. Looked from his attitude and body language that he was a guy that drives a pink motor vehicle. Having said that i am not sure he knew what his role was and he cannot be made totally accountable for that.

Agreed he was completely ineffective. He did look to me like somebody whose wasn't totally sure what he was supposed to be doing. I thought his best season throughout his career was that season under Hughes at Man City where he played behind the main striker in which case you would think he would have a clue.
I could be wrong though.

Our worst player today, very disappointed by him. Ireland, N'Zonzi, Whelan and Palacios all struggled their tits off. Dunno what to think really.

Some people fall over their selves to praise new signings like Ireland when they contribute very little. All season he has given the ball away cheaply and shown very little appitite or fight during a game.Having said that theres a few that applies to in our team at the moment.

And how come Whelan was suddenly drafted in as a starter?? It's all very sporadic, thought both Palacios and Wilson were in front of him in the pecking order. Not saying the other two woulda faired any better, just felt it was odd how he suddenly seemed to jump rank..

Soon enough Muniesa or Cameron will be given a chance or he'll go back to Wilson. He's trying to find something that works. The tools at his disposal aren't the best in that area though. It's very much trial and error but what else can he do?

I'd be tempted to give Muniesa a look myself but it's a big ask for the kid to cut his teeth in a struggling team, out of position. Cameron could be handy but leaves a hole for Wilson to fill at RB. It's an area we need to strengthen certainly.

I thought Ireland did ok today. The big let down for me was Nzonzi. I'm usually one of his biggest fans but today he gave the ball away countless times and got caught in possession even more. Really disappointing.

Until either a new right back or central midfielder come in then we'll be doing a merry go round there for a while yet.

Ireland found the conditions difficult today.
The ball was swirling around a lot and he was getting knocked about a bit. It was too windy for him!

Really disappointing. I agree. Of the three midfielders who started the game, I thought N'Zonzi was clearly the worst in the first half. I thought Ireland and Whelan did ok and I was a bit surprised to see Whelan taken off at half time. I'd have taken off Walters instead of Ireland when Assaidi was brought on. I did think N'Zonzi improved in the second half (as did the whole team) but it was still one of his poorer performances.

Ireland played as well as anyone today, and alot better than some.
I could have played LB or CB for Soton today with no negative effect for them on the result.

Knew he wouldn't make second half.

I'm not a fan of wilkinson but I think he did well enough against west brom to start today , to allow Cameron a midfield spot
