Has there been any further news on what happened? I'm at a loss as to how Shawcross and Crouch (of all people!) got booked but nothing happened to the volatile van Persie.

Crouch was booked for a challenge on one of their defenders, when the ref played on according to the tv over here. As above for Crouch, Ryan "nudged" van Persi as they walked off.

But didn't van Persie lash out at Ryan in the same incident? It was a booking for one or neither.

Old Trafford, say no more. Favouritism abounds at this frigging ground. End Of! It sickens me,!

Did you actually watch the game? Shawcross clipped his heels, thats what he got booked for. Fair decision.

Did anyone see why Ryan got so upset by Van Pussy?

Something was going on - or about to go on - as the final whistle went (in our box?). The cameras followed Crouchy as he walked off the pitch, but just before that cut away there might have been the start of a bit of bargey ... and I did think Ryan was involved in it. (like I say, was only a glimpse, but maybe that had something to do with it? and sorry - Ryan - if you were no where near any trouble )

What I saw of it Van Persie had poked or hit some one in the face at one of the last corners before half time. The Stoke players did not like what he had done, bit of a fracas but as norm no booking for Van Persie.

Shawcross came from behind and clipped him as they came of the pitch, he probably said something to RVP too which produced a flailing of arms a sort of get away from me action.

Im led to believe the refs report has been submitted and reads thus..
The No. 17 for 'them' was seen headbutting the fist of Van Perso. Having asked Moyesy what he wants me to do ive decided to caution the offender and warned him about his future conduct.

It was as they walked off at half time that Ryan bumped van Persil inthe back, something or notging had it not been a manure player.

I just don't get this booking for Crouch.
I know they said it was for the late challenge - but the challenge they referred to was on the edge of the Man Utd area in the build up for the Man Utd goal. Since that was a few minutes before the end of the half - including the play being stopped for their goal, our free kick and our goal - surly the ref couldn't go back so far and issue a yellow card?
It must have been for something that happened in the tunnel. If Crouch was that pissed off with RVP then really, surely he should have been booked too.

Disgusting piece in the Mirror. Why bring the Ramsay tackle up? The club really need to stop this god damn awful paper from writing such despicable articles

I am curious as to what RvP said to Ryan to rattle him though. Cute how it wasn't loud enough to hear.

No Crouch committed a bad foul, referee bboked him after the advantage ended. Very good refereeing and nothing for us to argue about. He showed the yellow card when he did it so it was nothing to do with the end of the game

These people of Arsenal heritage, who kick goalkeepers when they have the ball in their hands, refuse apologies, put their fingers to their lips and mumble insults under their breath before running off are real hard men aren't they.
Snidey little fuck bags cut in the exact image of Arsene Wenger.
As for the Mirror I wouldn't use its sports pages to mop up the collateral damage of a game of soggy biscuit.
