I can't believe that response I received from the mirror. I think I spoke for us all that we are sick of what Ryan has to put up with and I said so but to receive that response back is utterly shameful. I asked for his name but have had no response.

I just don't get this booking for Crouch. I know they said it was for the late challenge - but the challenge they referred to was on the edge of the Man Utd area in the build up for the Man Utd goal. Since that was a few minutes before the end of the half - including the play being stopped for their goal, our free kick and our goal - surly the ref couldn't go back so far and issue a yellow card? It must have been for something that happened in the tunnel. If Crouch was that pissed off with RVP then really, surely he should have been booked too. No Crouch committed a bad foul, referee bboked him after the advantage ended. Very good refereeing and nothing for us to argue about. He showed the yellow card when he did it so it was nothing to do with the end of the game That's just not right though is it. After Crouches bad challenge the ball was out several times before half time. Why didn't the ref book him when the ball was out of play?

Why don't they bring up that arsehole's assault on Tommy as 'previous'?

Why don't they bring up that arsehole's assault on Tommy as 'previous'? Why bring up the cowardly attack of a Man Utd player when you could bring up an accident involving a Stoke player?

Opening sentence - Robin Van Persie's frustration with lack of service is shown in needless tussles with defenders. Says it all, RVP expected to have an easy day against us and when it wasn't going his way he couldn't cope. It would have been a fairer outcome if both him and Shawcross had been booked on the pitch with the ref sending out a clear message that any further trouble would lead to a red. We suffered from having too many yellow cards in the game, as it lead to some very cautious play which was part of the reason that they got back in the game imo. If RVP had been booked, the same would have applied

Nothing complicated about it. ...but the booking was reported to have taken place at half time? Well after the incident took place? Then the reports are incorrect (unless he got booked twice!) I saw the ref show the yellow to Crouch as he lined up on the halfway line, for the restart, after the RVP goal.

Bloody hell. We really are supposed to clear the pitch while the Dutch twat shows off his silky skills? I suppose all this bollocks (ding dong 2-3 defeat and pissing them off) is better than turning up an getting dicked 5-0 though!)

Not the same Keown who has frequently bemoaned Stoke's physical approach? Really? Nice inclusion of the phrase, 'hatchet man', Spinksy. Hughes applauded Shawcross for standing up for himself – and likened the tussle with Van Persie to his old wars with Arsenal hatchet man Martin Keown.
"Ryan goes about his business and competes and doesn't like getting beaten... they are not bad qualities for a centre-half," he added.
"Me and Martin Keown used to go hammer and tongs. They probably needed two balls, one for us and one for everybody else."Read more: www.stokesentinel.co.uk/story-20000362-detail/story.html?#ixzz2j6cYrAFc

Is there a link to Ryans interview? You can only presume it paints Van Persie in a bad light so 'doesn't exist'.
