I expect the players up top to compete, it's the minimum they have to do. If it was Crouch, KJ (who I thought was wank today too) or Walters I'd say the same. None of them are good enough irrespective of chance creation or support. I can, I thought the problem today was a lack of a DM and the lack of a central focal point up front. So why pick out SJW when you know full well ANY striker would struggle? We are not scoring goals because there is no support from midfield and there is no movement after a pass is made, no attempt to attack the space from midfield. You are missing the point, I am not talking about just today. This is accumulative. I.e. he does fuck all week in, week out. He's just good at making it look like he's working hard, when in reality he hardly ever jumps for balls in the air,and shirks away from most challenges. He's got this skilful habit of running hard in the direction of opponents then slowing down as he approaches.

Spitthedog How can 2 Premiership managers be so deluded (and an international manager)? What the fuck do they know? Yes one manager who will never, ever get employed in the Premiership again. And another who will soon be in the same position?

Paul I didn't say and never have that he "so good". Its so easy for the non professionals amongst us to lambast certain players. My point is that people who have either played and/or managed professionally seem to disagree with the man in the street Again, I went with a bloke who was a professional footballer, not to the standard of league that Walters has played at or anything but a professional none the less. His verdict-he's fucking shit.

i would play walters for his attitude before any of the strikers at the club at the moment, his work rate knocks spots off crouch , jones ect..as said earlier any striker would struggle playing for stoke as we don't create anything..what baffles me is hughes was a world class striker so he must know that..yet we have no one who can beat a man and put the ball into a dangerous area..

Bayern So a bloke who has never played at the standard of Walters says he is shit? FFS You can't have it both ways owde, I think Your argument about professionals is total utter bullshit anyway, so then when I can supply that, it has to be of a certain standard? It's what I expected and it's hilarious! He has played against much better strikers than Walters though! Rush, Eusebio, Chapman, Neville Chamberlain.........

If he so highly rated in the professional sense lets put the fucker on the market and take advantage of a bidding war.

It's no surprise walter's is past it or even crouch or WP... Arnie is a breath of fresh air. More signings like him and were in business... Jan we need to get rid of alot of deadwood.

We have been saying for a while the deadwood needs to go, its just that no bugger wants it!
As for Jan, well our striking woes are already sorted remember....Just keep your fingers crossed that were not anywhere near the bottom 3 by then

He suits a 4-4-2. His best performances came playing in 2011 with Jones. The guy was isolated and all he could do was chase lost causes. Do people seriously still hold hope for Jon Walters because he played very well along with the rest of the team for a couple of months more than 2 years ago?
