Not sure what to do now, but i noticted two birds sitting side by side a month or so ago in the garden and they just caught my eye, anyway, i'm not sure if they are twins, lovers etc but they fly off together & follow each other about. i started chucking food for them and the seem really friendly, to the point. that last night that they popped into the conservatory side by side, had a walk about, then left & flew off, we were there at the time, so they were not bothered by us. they are back again tonight & its raining, so i opened the door. at the moment they are sitting side by side on the door mat near a radiator ,but the door is open for them to fly off, they have a couple of rings around their legs too. As much as i like them , i don't want to get attached What should i do? And killing or hurting them is not an option. TEST

Is there a storm in your area, could be lost, if you can get the number off the rings and then get in touch with the racing pigeon club and they would able to trace the owners

Are they wedding rings?

Could they be doves? Not all doves are snow white. If so, build or buy a dovecote for them, you're very lucky!

I hand reared a pigeon a few months ago,he was brilliant.
If the back door was open he would walk in have a bath in the dogs water bowl, then strutt round the place like he owned it.He'd sit on your knee at night after a fuss and if the dog come near he'd give her a right good peck on the nose, luckily the dog didnt bother.I used to take him out on my shoulder when walking the dog or take him to the Kismet to fetch a curry and leave him on the window sill outside and he'd never fly off.
He's since gone missing. Can only assume a cat has had him,he's always come home at night.
Miss the little bugger.

They belong to someone, hence the rings. If they are rung racing pigeons then more often than not the owners dont want them back.they are'nt much of a racing pigeon if they dont return home. I've had the odd one or two turn up at my house(got an aviary full of birds) and contacted the owners from the ring details.most of the time they say keep em.
