I'm glad he wants to play every game, I would just like to see him look like he wants to play every game.

Looked an honest interview from kenwyne and interesting to hear of no contract talks despite some media outlets. Wonder if he will be offered a new one at all?

So the ball didn't cannon off his chest on Sunday, he meant it and it was a bad choice! Clearly not a big fan of the old regime and another player having a bit of a dig now the new regime are picking him.

Apologies, but we are having a few technical difficulties at present and we hope to have it rectified by tomorrow. Gareth, is blaming Michael, and Michael well.......

@dorselator: See extraordinary int with #scfc Kenwyne Jones on #SSN in am. Says he and "lots of others" would've left if there hadn't been manager change

I don't particularly want to see Kenwynne playing 'with a smile on his face'. I would like to see him being a lot more aggressive.

My guess is that we'll sell Crouch in the window and let Kenwynne run down his contract. Coates must be tearing his hair out.

To sell Crouch somebody has to want him, though! If we want a few million back and he still wants 40k plus a week, there will be few takers (a loan to QPR with us sharing his wages may be an option, I suppose). I am not sure we will let KJ go for nowt if he impresses. I think a two year extension may be on offer after Christmas if he is playing and scoring regularly. Hughes does seem to like him and KJ's latest quotes suggest it is mutual.

Puts to bed that myth that players don't care what football they play as long as they are getting the money.
No matter what level you are at, people like playing good football.

If we could get players in and around the striker quickly maybe crouch could be the answer, I just don't think we have the players at the minute.

Jezza, Jones has to start scoring soon mate. Sell Crouch and pay towards his wages perhaps, but one of them has to go and we need to draft in a goalscorer. Agudelo is one for the future. I'd still hope we might be in for a cut-price Diouf. Kenwynne may even think he'll be financially better off not to sign a new contract and bugger off to Turkey in June!

He did net a hatrick in the Cup, but I get your point. A non-scoring forward is not much use to any team. If Arnie can chip in with a few (even Walters!) and we find the odd goal from elsewhere (midfield, defence), it would take the pressure off. Right now we are impressive until the final third, when it all goes a bit awry.

Agreed mate, nice to see he wants to pull on the shirt and play football. He was very honest in his interview and spent an age with the kids playing basketball, answering questions in the gum hall an then the media in between. He was there hours after training i think so good on him. Lets hope he keeps playing well and grabs some goals

Clearly not a big fan of the old regime and another player having a bit of a dig now the new regime are picking him. Who were the big fans of the old regime? You and TP? KJ is both honest and brave, and I think he speaks for most of the (football!) players who suffered under the TP horror regime january 2012-may 2013.

I nearly choked on my cup a soup when I read Kenny's interview in the Sentinel.
Anyone who didn't know anything about him would have read the article and thought that he had been prolific since TP left.
This guy is one of the top earners at the Club, and his goal tally has been woeful. Lets not forget, that for the majority of KJ's appearances we played with 2 x out and out wingers, and he still scored very few goals.
TP actually showed a huge amount of faith in KJ and most other managers would have fooked him off before now!
