Why does it? Europe is the absolute beating heart of the game both emotionally and financially. We are hugely taken for granted and this is a big imbalance in FIFA's take on matters. Would you have given the 2022WC to Qatar? This aint no europhobia, this is corruption, man. No but you can't see why the rest of the world doesn't want Europe to have the power (and indeed we don't). It's for the exact attitude you're displaying, there wouldn't be a World Cup out of Europe or South America, which is just wrong.

It's a pity you don't feel the same way. And...i'm sorry but we do hold the power. The reason a decent European candidate isn't opposing Blatter is because anyone with a modicum of intelligence realises that FIFA is a criminally corrupt organisation. And let's face it, the Premiership is popular in Asia and Africa is popular for entirely different reasons than Charlie Adam's incredible ball skill. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) PS. I added that because I know you're an enormous Charlie fan....

I have a dislike of corruption but it clearly goes beyond that too, he has done a lot for football in the world and they genuinely respect that and I can see why they wouldn't want UEFA in charge because that would go away. When in reality it should carry on without the corruption. Football is about the only one genuine global sport, you wouldn't have thought by reading views on here, in the British press or from the FA. We don't hold the power........that's abundantly clear by the chuntering and lack of action that we've seen over the past 10 years. The FBI have the power, UEFA don't-they're a massive part of the problem and the FA are spineless and have no power. The reality is that the world would love us to break away especially if then UEFA stitched us so it was just the home nations to leave. They hate us with a passion.

It's true that Africa and Asia have seen a forty fold increase since Blatter became President. But in real terms its still a pifflingly small amount (about £8 mill p.a.) or half a contract for a Wilson Palacios in footballing parlance. Bayern, there's far more to it than Blatter re-investing a tiny chunk of FIFA's ludicrously huge revenues in these places...it's screamingly obvious to me and many others. I agree that you have a point, but the corruption needs booting out of what is essentially a beautifully simple game before we can start to make sound and sustainable investments is these emerging and third world nations. Giving Qatar a World Cup is wrong on so many levels, it's beyond ridiculous. You agree or not?

And of course there is but part of the problem is this eurocentric claptrap too, it's not the solution. And indeed UEFA will be corrupt too, Spain and France voted for Blatter, Platini voted for Qatar.......there's way more to it than it being an issue with Asia and Africa.

But the first step is to remove Blatter. And his support and sustenance is derived from Africa and Asia (South East Asia specifically). And the general consensus is that it's not because he's re-investing a meagre 2% of FIFA total revenues back into plastic pitches for the kids from Lagos to run around on. If you want to do corruption on a serious scale then Africa and SE Asia would probably be in the top three host nations with Russia and the Arabic Gulf nations emerging as close contenders for third place.

Or lets put it another way, you're a football lover from the Turks and Caicos or some other small or even medium football nation and you read this; www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32950203You're going to resent it.

UEFA won't boycott 2018. It isnt a realistic scenario. Well no that was obvious but our glorious FA and leader don't seem to think so. UEFA boycotting a World Cup held by a UEFA member! And one where the two favourites are most likely to be France and Germany!

This is nothing to do with power, this is about fairness Some leagues are a lot more "strenuous and competitive" than others. Some countries have a truly global look to the players they have. FIFA does not have a divine right to call the shots on when and where these players can play. FIFA has infact lost all of its credance and until it is disbanded and reformed things will remain so. This is sport and as such sport can make their own rules up and when the rule makers become as obviously inept as they are now then it is time for change or revolution, which ever comes first

The press can take a bow too with finding out it was Valcke who did the payment to Warner for South Africa.
That's where the change had to come from.
If they had any sense they'd clear the decks now, fuck them all off including Platini.

So what's changed since last Friday? He has realised that the game is up, expect an immunity deal to keep him out of it. Four months notice required to call congress, likely between December 2015 and March 2016

But Valcke has not resigned. But it shows how high it goes, Valcke might be next, Sepp being the first? Why let others take the light of being the first to go? He's that vein. They must have something on him though you'd imagine, especially if they have got something on his number 2!
