It sounded so good!! Never heard it like that before! Defo should be done again. Burnley away, 2-0 Graeme Shaw double. Best rendition ever heard and will never be beaten, went on for about 15 minutes...........

There's a clip of Delilah fom the Autoglass final against Stockport that shows how it should really be sung.
Sorry can't find the clip; so you'll just have to take my word for how fantastic it is.

That slow rendition of 'Oh When the Reds' yesterday was phenomenal. I've spoken to a few of those who watched on the box, in a box, and in the Brit. Don't know where it came from but for a moment or two at the back of the SS my mining heritage surfaced and I was enveloped in the spirit of the Valleys. A fitting tribute to Sparkling Nogger. Spontaneously mint.

Ooohh when the reeeeds goo marching innnnn Brilliantly strange moment in the second half. Five minutes of singing "oh when the reds" as if it were a hymn. If only we could slow other songs down like it. The atmosphere was bloody epic today. It was a completely surreal moment where I thought somebody had smuggled in a Welsh male voice choir. Absolutely beautiful moment!!!

I said sort of the same, I compared it to Zulu. I don't like that slow Delilah.

It sounded as though someone had started it off in a wrong low key, and everyone followed

Ha ha this is funny...this indeed was started in block 25 my Mate started singing it really slow and we joined in ...there were a few moments where some behind us wanted to go running off at the normal pace but managed to get them back in time...thought it was pretty cool Block 25 choir member

This was the way the song used to be sung a lot, particularly at away matches. And Im talking years ago. The idea is to build the pace to a crescendo.
Something different

We first slowed it down after a spurs game three years ago. It was 150 BPM (and rubbish), we reduced it to 50 BPM.
Yesterday 30 - It's a straight steal from Spuds - who've done the 30 for years but what the hey.

It was noticeably an octave lower than normal, even on the telly. Good stuff.

One of the best delilah's too fast. that's how you do it. Yeah they will never slow it down that much. Sounds immense though when sung slower as it should be.

I take it that I'm the only one who didn't think the atmosphere was very good yesterday? That "oh when the reds" was good but was nowhere near loud enough and the Man City fans probably never even heard it. We have a piss poor repertoire of match day songs as well.(that's aimed at whoever it was earlier in the thread who said we have the best). I thought we were louder than we have been for a ling time but our catalogue of songs are pathetic. Go on Stoke is shit. I must be the only person who thinks Delilah is shit, especially since singing it time seems to hard to grasp for some. Oh when the reds is good when slow but shit when fast. Apart from that we have the Jones song and thats it. Gareth Malone,is that you?

First time I heard oh when the reds slow and going on and on and on was Derby away in the Championship, think we lost 2-1 to a late goal..

Was in the middle if it on Saturday and its been a long while since a rendition of "oh when the reds" made my hairs on the back my neck stand on end, truely class and worthy of note in a topic of its own
Well done to all involved that didn't try to rush it

we copied this off Spurs Yes I agree. Spurs version of one verse being stupidly slow & quiet, followed by one verse where it's a good speed & volume, followed by a bunch of mongy clapping that kills it is exactly what we did Saturday.
