Went to the ticket office today small queue, but slower than a tortoise as per.bloke in front asks for 3 adult and 1 child ticket, but hes not on the system, he says hes moved away years ago but is up for the week with family, after being told he might be a manc trying to infiltrate the boothen , he produces 2 stoke tops hes just spent a ton plus on.he leaves empty handed saying fuk you.im up next after 2 for friends from denmark coming for saturdays game.because I dont know their addresses I also leave empty handed saying fuk you.wonder how many times a week this goes on those 2 old fellas are the 2 most awkward cunts I have ever come across How difficult can it be to register someone on your own PC and then make them friends on your own list? I have a couple of dozen on my friends list - just takes minutes For friends from Denmark just register them at your address - same email - make up dob's etc Not so easy for the casual visitor up for the week-end - maybe a filled in corner could be a neutral zone - as at Fulham

So buying a ticket at Stoke for people from outside the country has to be done by making shit up. Great system, I can't see the problem.....

Thank fuck someone else can see the downsides of this insular system. And as for a neutral zone at Stoke. It would be full of our loons and we all know it. Never going to happen.

Just been booking flight for me Xmas hols and will be over for the Everton game then leave the following day. I can not even find a contact "us SCFC" button on the official web site :-( I want 4 tickets for this game and yes for those of us overseas casual but loyal fans it is getting harder to see a game live that is not not on the telly. There needs some more thinking at HQ about this small problem, as fans needs seats!

There needs some more thinking at HQ about this small problem, as fans needs seats! For exiles abroad hoping to take in their first game since the new system came in I suggest emailing the ticket office manager, Josh Whittaker. Explain your situation and the dates you will be in England and the games you wish to go to and ask his advice. Surely that is why we have a ticket office manager! Using email means that it will be free. I'm sure he will sort you out with 4 (free) membership tickets (ample time to send them to you before you leave NZ). Basically he is going to need names and DOBs and (hopefully) you can register all of them at your address so the cards will be sent to you. Once you have the cards you can book the games online and they will be added to your account so your cards will get you in through the turnstile. Once you have the cards, future trips to games will be a lot simpler because there will no longer be the need to send paper tickets to you or expect you to collect them on arrival in England.
His email is: josh.whittaker@stokecityfc.comDo let us know how you get on - all information on how to get things sorted will be useful to your fellow exiles.PS - the club won't tell you this, but I will. Once you have the cards you can use them for anybody who is in the right category - eg, adult, over 65 etc.

You should be on the payroll, LP ! ???? I'm just an old, retired, civil servant living in the Lake District whose best days are long behind him! There must be many people in North Staffs who could do the job better than I could! Quite why the club doesn't manage to find some of them and put them on the payroll is a mystery. Something to do with pay, I suspect. When you pay the players more in a week than most people earn in a year, I seems odd not to pay a wage of £5,000 more per year to attract a few more reasonably competent office staff. Football - its a bloody stupid business model, innit?

Just decided to check the website see what tickets were left after the night before big push to sell tickets. Its embarrassing, considering this is the fault of the ticket office and marketing depts which answer to Scholes someone heads needs to be on a silver platter.
Why people are struggling to understand/obtain cards to buy tickets? Why add the "membership" schemes into this mess and not explain to people they dont need one to buy tickets on the fly? Waiting to send one text out the night before a game, is shocking. Should be a few starting a fortnight before. With ST numbers as down as they are they should make a push to sell some more asap as this situation every week is beyond a joke as well as explaining the new system better. That and educate the ticket office staff to explain it all better and perhaps not make people feel like we are doing a disservice asking them to do their job
The amount of empty seats is very alarming, and a lot more than a text message is needed to bring back people who were disgruntled with TP, not convinced by hughes and put off by the poor efforts at the club. Added to the usual reasons people dont attend football like cost/transport/KO time etc
