It's time everyone put the past behind us and concentrated on the here and now. We are where we are. Petty bickering amongst ourselves is unhelpful, Pulis himself is clearly moving on and good luck to him, perhaps we should follow suit. Agreed 100%

He mouthed the word Shotts when Scholes said players out. Least that's what it looked like . Could have been something similar, but clear he and Mr Scholes weren't buddies from his reaction

Pulis is great as a pundit. I always thought he spoke very well in post-match interviews; despite talking a complete load of bollocks at times, it was always bollocks that was delivered with clarity and honesty. Despite my opinion of him as a football manager, I think he's a thoroughly decent bloke. and not that big a spender, you ahve to add wages to transfer fees and subtract the starting asset base to get the true picture. As all the stats show, in every season he met or over achieved relative to the money we spent. If you wnat tio understand more start with Soccereconomics, its a football business starter book If that was the case then why's he not the manager anymore?

Scholes on now - it's taken 3 weeks to sign that Austrian guy. Ireland is a more recent one. TP hasn't looked too happy since Scholes started talking. Pulis was the life and soul before that call came in!! The look of complete loathing on TP's face was rather awkward to say the least! Wonder if they can get Beattie, Cartwright and Pennant to call in...?

It has been interesting and on a relatively quiet night blown sky out of the window. Tone and Purslow have added real insight.

Pulis has been great on that show. Apart from losing internet connection for an hour and having to put the boys to bed, it was thoroughly enjoyable viewing.
Sadly, I missed the Tony Scholes appearance. Must have been great TV for those that were watching the studio via the red button.

I guess this will give people more opportunity to put the boot into Pulis again. His comments highlight precisely the reason it was time to move him out. Football is a multi million pound business these days and like it or not clubs have to run as such. Pulis has proven and now admitted that he's not up to moving into the modern times. Agents, chief executives, scouts etc. are a necessary evil in today's game. Pulis's old school attitudes got us into the Premier League then kept us there. He is just not the man to take the next step and move into the modern sphere. His no nonsense stance to a lot of the shit with modern football is admirable to an extent but unfortunately will not achieve long term financially sound success for a mid range club like ourselves. He should be applauded for his achievements but equally so should the board for acting before things went properly tits up. It's not sticking the boot into Pulis It's stating relevant facts about the subject being debated Very sensible post. I am a self confessed Pulis rimmer and will always hail him as a club hero of the very highest order, but the board were right to take action when they did. We just couldn't go on as we were. Onwards and upwards. All hail the great Pulis but now we are moving on. If you stand still in football you die.

It was genuinely funny when at the end he was asked two faxes come in just before the deadline, Murphy or Savage? TP said 'I'd leave it.'

He should've twatted Danny Murphy I was watching around the time that Murphy arrived in the studio, and I swear that he looked really uncomfortable and didn't make eye contact with TP for a very long period of time. Or perhaps it was just me reading too much into the situation.

As soon as I heard him say "Gareth Barry is a smashing lad and as a manager it doesn't matter if he's not part of your plans because he's good to have around the place" I turned it off. This quote alone is enough to summarize the idiot! Also said on BT Sport after Liverpool game when asked to comment on John Walters penalty miss. "Nahhhh, he's a smashing lad and he'll be back to take the next one" He loves 'smashing lads' Must be what happened to Owen?
