I thought Mark Wilson was excellent in second half. I would prefer to see him ahead of Palacios.

Palacios looks a million miles from being fully fit
He was very poor tonight

Palacious was bloody dreadful. Need either offload him to Hull, or terminate his contract, it's as simple as that.

I thought Mark Wilson was excellent in second half. I would prefer to see him ahead of Palacios. If Palacios starts a Premier League game in the near future we will lose it. I have a feeling Les will mix it up Home and Away. N'Zonzi Wilson and Whelan away. N'zonzi, Wilson and Adam at home.

Don't trust Palacios in a full tempered game
Give Wilson time and he'll be a quality CM

He can also drop back into the full back positions when they are attacking which is always useful.

I do wonder if we need a really good destroyer to play in that defensive midfield role.

I do wonder if we need a really good destroyer to play in that defensive midfield role. Without question MD. Palacios is surely finished here and I'm far from convinced that Wilson is good enough for the role at Premiership level. Muniesa might be mind.

I think he really benefits from playing so many games as a fullback; we shouldn't regard it as a waste - It has toughened him defensively, and he can spot the danger down the flanks. I've a feeling he is going to be massive for us this season.

Anything to do with his illness still affecting him? How many excuses can people make for Palacios. He's a spent force, it's that simple.

Don't suppose the offer from Hull is still on the table, is it?
Now they've got Huddlestone and Livermore, probably not!
Opportunity knocked and we missed the boat there. Damn.

Is he physical enough though? looked pretty strong tonight. Anyway, look at corzola, mata, courtinho. They're all a similar small build to our muni.

That thing he does where he just plants his feet as a player knocks the ball past him is starting to annoy me.

You can get away with it being an attacking midfielder, centre half not so much(although there have been some top quality small defenders in the past).

If the twisted gonad wasn't affecting Palacios' game last night then there is no hope for him. He looked cumbersome, one paced {a kind of shuffle}. It was painful to watch him. If he was still suffering then it was cruel to play him, so I'll cut him some slack, but... I'd pick Richard Wilson, Brian Wilson, Sgt. Wilson {Dad's Army}, any one of the Beach Boys, or even Wilson Pickett before I'd trust Palacios in the Prem. Oh well, it seems like he'll be here on rehab/recovery until xmas at least. I can't see anyone taking a punt on him on that showing in this window.

Give Marc Wilson time to adapt I'm sure he'll develop into a decent holding midfielder.
