And to think we paid £8m for him!!! Just because Pulis was desperate to land Crouch Scandalous!!! I think we paid what we paid because at one time he was one of the best holding midfielders in the league.

This is a really interesting one because aesthetically, Wilson had a much better game than Palacios.
However, if you get given a role to protect the back 4 and start the play off, then Palacios was miles better than Wilson. He was available for the pass from the back 4, played some lovely passes inside players to put our team on the front foot and when he was on the pitch, we were leading 2-0 and seemingly solid at the back.
When he went off, they came back into the game and we looked a little more shaky defensively until N'zonzi came on to sure things up.
I accept that Palacios still looked someway short of full fitness but I actually thought he did what was asked of him very well. Did he have the legs for the second half or was he being rested for Saturday? I don't know and time will tell I guess.

We should sell Palacios to the highest bidder, if we can find one. He'll never be any good to us!

Thank your lucky stars he's not likely to feature in Premiership for us. Doesn't detract from what an absolute failure he's been here. I can't honestly wait to see the back of him.

I thought he had a bit of a mixed bag really at times he looked like he was putting himself about a bit and then at other times the game seemed to pass him by however like you I did see him making himself available for passes from the back 4 and never really ventured that far forward which is what you want from a player like him. The fact is he needs games however he could be too much of a liability if he switches off at the wrong time in a prem game.

True. In which case, I'd trust the judgement of Sparky who see's him train every day. No offence to the people in attendance last night, of course.

Wilson P - supposed to be like a new signing this season I was told by many stoke fans; unfortunately he signed a couple of years ago. Poor signing; and that was clear from the beginning as he never played. After last night I've seen enough of him so don't tell me he just needs a chance. Useless and I'm being polite.

ITS THE HEAD NOT THE BODY WITH PALACIOS That may be true mate, but this is his 3rd season with us and he's been paid millions while he's deciding where his head is? A decent pre-season was rewarded with his first start in 12 months(?) and just before kick off he gets his balls in a tangle?! Personal problems aside, Wilson needs to decide what he wants? i hope he finally gets sorted and has a crackin season cos up to now he's been about as much use as a kick start on a sausage.

Give him a good run in CM and he'll come good. I'm sure of it.

All the players we are taking from the MLS can't we send WP over to them , he would be fine in a easy league like that

The worrying thing is that we seem to be pursuing the possibility of Palacios suddenly becoming a real contender for a starting place. Perhaps MH and team are confident that WP will turn it around, hope so!!

He's just come back from another injury.
I'd give him a run in the team before I'd write him off
