Couldn't make it tonight, how did Assaidi do?

I was impressed.
Looked really sharp, especially for his first 20-25 minutes.
Didn't overplay it - and more often than not played it neat and simple with his head up.

Absolutely wonderful. Quick, agile, determined, skilful. Good awareness of team mates. Desperate to score. IMO best on the pitch

Sounds very promising then. Looking forward to seeing him in action! A few more quality additions will also help show his ability.

Good start.
Drifted out of the game after that, but he can be excused for that after his lack of football over the last 12 months.

he was very good, impressive performance and can only get better. He was quick, tricky and has very good awareness. he also looked hungry for goals which was nice to see. Stokiejack has also made a good point there. very promising.

Lots of promise in attack, but he did look a little bit lost when we didn't have the ball and lacked a bit of sharpness.

That's the most realistic post, nice touches, way off match sharpness though. IMO The other thing to remember is that he can barely have trained with us, and we put out largely a second string team. He's got the right qualities. Time will tell if there's going to consistently be an end product.

Good pace and looks very hungry! His final delivery lets him down however.

Good pace and looks very hungry! His final delivery lets him down however. It wasnt that bad. Only put one poor ball into the box and that was mainly because nobody was there.

so let me get this straight despite lacking match fitness he was still impressive me thinks we have been starved of pace for far too long
good to hear though

He seemed to have a good understanding with Muniesa. It was a bit of a culture shock watching two footballers knocking quick one touch passes to each without it bouncing of a shin and into touch.

Along with Brek Shea, not yet match fit.
Probably means Ethers and Walters to start on saturday.

Lovely triangles with them pair and Adam and then Adam just twatted it out. He's done a great job conning people, telling them he's a footballer.

Very impressed. Quick, busy, tidy, stuck his foot in, got behind their defence and keen to take his man on. Exactly what we needed.

Fucking ace, just fucking ace. He looks like an all-out attacker which might be a little concerning if it wasn't for him seemingly having a naturally gifted understanding with Muniesa. Dunno if I'd trust Muniesa in the Prem quite yet because Pieters looks harder (I said on another thread I'd love to see Muniesa in midfield) but we could have a fucking blinding left side in those two.
As for Assaidi individually, he looks like a bolt of lightning but with very good close control too, if a little one footed. He's tricky and hungry and clearly wanted to drive forward and get involved, but not selfish with it; although you could tell he had one eye on the net he was properly looking for the best available option. He is exactly what we've been looking for, he could be the skilful game changer that's been lacking since the departure of a Mr Fuller.
I've never been a huge fan of Jerome even though I appreciate his qualities, I'd be very interested to see those two together at the end of a stretched game. Those two alone could be Plan C, they could open slower defences up like a hot knife through butter.

Could be an awesome player for us. 1st name on team sheet for me Saturday. Wont get through 90 minutes though. I'd rather bring him on at 70/75 minutes to take advantage of tired legs. Will be great when fit though. Anyone know if his loan is with a view to make it perm?

Good touches, looks skill full, quick, confident, just what we need, although after 10mins looked unfit, and positionally he was awful but that will all be sorted with training with the squad and learning the tactics. Impressed.
