I think in every game we play we should have a player protecting the back 4. Most teams do. Quite surreal. It's becoming evident that we're missing Delap, his reading of the game and willingness to do what's best for the team and not himself, still makes him better than any of our current options. Totally agree and Fuller Stein Biggins Greenoff Ritchie Huddy Smith Conroy Sir Stan FFS

I'm going to be a little optimistic and go for 7-0 to Stoke

So I think (assuming no new signings) it would make sense to only rest internationals - everyone else can surely manage a couple of games in a week?
Sorensen
Wilko Pieters Huth Shawx
Adam (doesn't seem to get in scotland team?) Cuvelier Nzonzi
Shea Crouch Pennant
Butland Muniesa Wilson Cameron Whelan Jerome Jones
Try to avoid using the internationals from sub too much? I am also assuming no future for Shotton, Kightly or Edu

"MB: In terms of injuries, we have Wilson Palacios available again, Brek played for 45 minutes in the Under 21 game last night, and he trained this morning too, so he is available for us if we feel he is ready."
So Palacios might get a start?

WP & Shea on the bench then?
might see them during extra time?
who would take the penalties?
am I being unduly negative?
Walsalls record in 2013 is impressive
stuff it 5.0 to Stoke

Anyone else like to see Muniesa at centre back?

Anyone else like to see Muniesa at centre back? I'd like to see him given a game but tbh would quite like to see him given a shot in the holding role as he can clearly read the game well and is very classy on the ball, has good distribution and seems comfortable in possession.

I'd play the same back 5 tomorrow as we've started the season. They need to familiarise themselves more with the set up and how we play. I'd go
Bego Cameron huth Ryan pieters Whelan muniesa Wilson Pennant jones kightly

No huge shocks last night - Palarse the only PL team that slipped-up, and that shouldn't surprise anyone. I nominate Baaardiff to become the victims of this round's "giant killing".

He's not a left back, although he can play there. I'm sure that's where Pulis would have played him. I am pleased that we have a footballing centre back to call on as and when he's deemed ready or needed. Of course that doesn't mean he'll play there tonight

Let's put 6 past them tonight. I'm hoping for a free-flowing game where we overwhelm them. Or is that too much to ask?

This time last year I was so looking forward to a good cup run that I signed up for the "player" on the official site.....and I was so pissed off with the performance v. Swindon that I cancelled it again at full time.
Tonight, I'm going out instead.

Judging by some of the results last night I don't know why anyone is expecting an easy ride. A day of shocks and mad high scoring games yesterday. Think most of tonight's will be more straightforward for the favourites. Definitely not an easy ride though, never is.
