10 miles myself, not as much as I wanted but got a twinge on the top of my foot.
Hurts when I wriggle my toes upwards, and could feel it the whole way round.
I think I've been tying my laces far too tight. Going to rest it a week then see how it goes.

think I'll reduce a lot this week, blood results showing low in red and white blood cells, despite eating greens every day and taking a few supplements, smoothies with kale in etc. I must need quite a bit more when upping the training

Anyone else do the Newcastle Way trail marathon yesterday. Highly recommended if you fancy something a bit different next year - Mow Cop to Mkt Drayton over mainly fields and paths. 103 stiles apparently (I didn't count!). Plus free pint of Joules at the finish.

Will keep it in mind for next year. 12.5 miles today after a week off due to foot. Wasn't too bad, only 2 weeks until Uttoxeter. Anybody got a race pack yet?

Plus free pint of Joules at the finish. A couple of the guys I run with did it. I saw one after Air Products today but didn't have chance to get the lowdown. He did it last year and enjoyed it. I know that a few of the group have trained on the course by splitting it in half.

I've not received anything in the post but assumed I'd just be picking a number up on the day and receiving instructions by email. Nice enjoyable course with a biggish hill at 7 miles then an undulating and mainly downhill finish thereafter.

Best week of racing to date over the last seven days. First time under 31 minutes for 5 miles and the first sub 39 minutes for a 10K.

I've had a few people say it's very difficult, but I've googled it and the consensus is Leek and Ashbourne are much harder. Naturally, they are now in my calendar 🤢

I've decided to try Leek this year.....can't be worse than Meerbrook, can it?

Yeah got mine too. I've only done Meerbrook once in 2014, very early on in my running. It wasn't that bad, but I took my time getting round.

Leek is worse than Meerbrook, with Meerbrook you get two superb downhill sections with are equal to what you run up, with Leek you run up alot more than what you run down
