Pulis target Cornelius is 6ft 4in tall!!! He looks a bit of a beast, mate! Is Pulis an undercover scout?

Cornelius would be a great signing but haven't seen anywhere that Hughes has expressed an interest.

Pulis target Cornelius is 6ft 4in tall!!! Hughes likes a big striker though doesn't he? Signed Santa Cruz twice, Adebayor and Jo the Brazilian forward.

He is also only 19 though, and has scored for denmark already. Still think he would be a good move.

This type of lazy reporting pisses me off.
1. Stoke's 'traditional style' is not long ball. We've played long ball for a few years recently under Pulis (and maybe some other recent managers) but to call it our traditional style when we're talking about less than ten years out of 150 is complete hogwash. 2. 'Change Stoke's philosophy'. WTF?! I don't think PC and the rest of the board are philiosophically wedded to the idea of direct hoofball, not necessarily are the players. It was TP, end of. And he's gone. 3. 'Rory Delap was key to Pulis' direct approach'.Yeah right. Is that the same Rory Delap who hardly played for us last season and figured in less than half our games the season before? 4. 'Hughes cleared out the coaching staff'. I was under the impression that they all resigned before Hughes was appointed and had been gone for several days before he turned up.

Cornelius is a left footer as well. Big left footed strikers seem to be as rare has hens' teeth - sign him up Tone Mark!

It's going take awhile get rid of the stigma pulis has left us with,it's his physiology but pulis went on about it every week convincing everyone outside stoke that its the clubs and fans physiology aswell

Cornelius looks a bit of a monster! How old is he? 21? And how much would he potentially cost?

I actually spoke to my works Danish office and asked them about Cornelius.
He said he (in his opinion) is very much in the same ilk as Andy Carroll rather than like Peter Crouch. He apparently dominates defenders and has said previously that his hero is Drogba and thus attempts to adopt a similar style.
He said he divides opinion in Denmark with some people thinking he is awesome, and others disliking the way he plays - probably a lot like Carroll.
I think he would be a superb addition.

He looks the business and with Hooper would make Crouch and Jones redundant. Backed up by Walters and Jerome we'd have half a chance of scoring a few more. What's the price tag? However, he'd be less use if we didn't have decent service from the wings.

I don't see Hughes following up on Cornelius if I'm honest. Why would you choose a player identified by Dave Kemp?

I agree really, but if he's objective he could take a look and make his own mind up. He's qualified enough to make a judgement on a striker don't you think?

It'll be interesting to see how the Hughes-Cartwright dynamic works. Pieters and Cornelius seem to be very much Cartwright-identified months ago. For example, his old pal Rigg, who's out of work but has been doing his scouting for years and years, must be aware of players he's been scouting with Hughes in mind at previous clubs? You'd think he'd consider Cornelius if he was put to him though. There doesn't appear to be a lot not to like if we could attract him at the right price. Pieters seems to be hinting that he sees his future potentially at CB?

That forward looks superb, did hughes have the yak at blackburn? I can see jones and crouch leaving and A N other partnering jerome or walters up top. (Fingers crossed)
