Come back tony if this c*** is getting the job Is that really necessary? If you don't want him as a manager fair enough but don't say shit like that. Hughes is no mug and I wouldn't be upset with him in charge, he's was a great player and he's a decent manager and he knows his football.

Firstly i heard of this four week ago and signed up so i could post, Mark Hughes is the next stoke manager, he is currently staying at Nunsmere Hall, this isn't someone bullshitting, I myself know a relation of mark's and was told about this firstly a few weeks ago, after i think stoke played Norwich, the deal was offered but was only signed off last week, and mark has been waiting for the nod, last night he received the call and today he traveled and is currently staying in Cheshire ready to meet the owners tomorrow and be unveiled. I'm not lying or playing games, i know a member of the Hughes family extremely well and this is now 100% confirmed in the family, you wont have long to wait to see, mark hughes will be publicly announced tomorrow in a press conference

There's only one person I would rather have than Hughes - MON. At least Hughes will stand no shit. And of course he's welsh so TP would approve.
If we get relegated then I predict TP will be back

If it is to be Hughes, what learning or positives are there to take from his time with QPR to convince Coates et al that the experience will not be repeated here at Stoke ? I do not see it myself - where is his experience that lends itself as a good fit for us ?

He'd be my choice bit of a twat but a decent enough record. Oh tell me the good record? Man City, QPR to name two disasters.

He had very good records at Blackburn and Fulham, its harsh to judge him at Man City its obvious he wasn't the Arabs preferred manager when they brought the club. QPR was a disaster but equally the owner had no idea about football. Hughes and Coates would work imo

He'd be my choice bit of a twat but a decent enough record. Oh tell me the good record? Man City, QPR to name two disasters. Well our last managers only success prior to appointment was promotion from the fourth division followed by a playoff final loss and sacking....................... He then got us promoted to the prem and kept us there. These things are not that easy to call. Hughes did well at Blackburn, not too shabby at Fulham citeh and Wales. My only reservation is that he comes across as a bit old-school so would he have the same issues as tony did. Oh and his Fulham team were a bunch of play-acting whining pansies.

What is Hughes record on signing players?Did he sign Kompany because i know he signed Dembele. Mixed but did some very good business at Blackburn and as you say signed Dembele. Signed some shockers at Citeh (£11m on Bridge, £19m on RSC) but also Kompany, De Jong and Bellamy.
