Either they [PC/TP et al] want to keep TP out of the spotlight or it could have shades of Gardening Leave

I cant for the life of me believe Pulis would be scouting yet, that wouldnt happen until mid-late August in his method. Lame ass attempt by the Sentinel if thats the best story they can come up with. Sorry but I don't think we should start making stuff up. Pulis has enough rope I hang himself already. He does go abroad mid season to scout players, as do many other members of the management team. Fair enough if Pulis has been abroad to scout. What has he ever come back with though? Have these trips ever seen us sign a player from a scouting report?. Pulis and signings players from abroad dont go hand in hand surely. Arismendi was Kemp's pet project and the only other I can think of was Pennant but Pulis already knew about him. Apologies if I missed some?.

If TP is staying and he's not going because he's shirking questions, he's a disgrace. If he's managed to end up with a meeting on a date when he should be stood with players he's bought into this club over the years that's just as bad. And if he's off in the summer and he simply isn't up to it then he's not the bloke I thought. Either way I think it speaks volumes

It's 50 years since JFK was assassinated, then there was questions about Diana; do you think the thought police have got wind of a new conspiracy involving TP (wont use his proper name Tony Pulis in case someone is watching). Perhaps Tonysplanb is a double agent?

I don't agree with it but to be honest I'd probably do the same myself.

The big decisions article in the sentinel, more or less points to Pulis staying and our defensive style staying. The last sentence about Wigan style, point to that ,in my opinion. The club do have a busy summer, with issues to put right. Going back to the 2 wingers luxury games of 2 seasons ago. instead of trying to be posh. Too many players on the wage bill. An incomplete squad. I might be wrong and fine if I am,next week we will know. shake up on the pitch and behind the scenes.

smells like the same kind of denial he's been peddling for the last few weeks to me. Its all well and good saying "the family havent given me any indication ill be leaving", but then if you metaphorically stick your fingers in your ears and go LALALALALALALALALALA when theres any chance they might do, its not gonna tell him much is it?
Sad.. very sad. Just accept it tony, this is unedifying

The law of averages says he'll eventually find a foreign player he's got a big hard on for and sign him, even if his philosophy has a selection bias against players who aren't more physical than average.

Please no, he's been fantastic but it's time to go. You can't have a manager with Alzheimer's, he buys the wrong players and then forgets he's bought them!

Is that the same Vela who was at West Brom from Arsenal? If so then I conna fucking wait for next season,if that's the calibre of player we are interested in!

Unless Vela has grown by about a foot, and put some decent time into sunbeds, it's about as big a non-starter you'll get.

Can nobody ever be arsed to find out the CORRECT transfer window dates? You're on the fucking internet FFS! It took me 5 seconds to find out that the transfer window opens at midnight on the last day of the season, so that will be midnight Sunday 19th May this year, and closes on 31st August at a time determined by the PL board.
There, that wasn't difficult, was it? FFS stop making shit up and just find out!!!
This really boils my piss, as you may be able to tell!!

The law of averages says he'll eventually find a foreign player he's got a big hard on for and sign him, even if his philosophy has a selection bias against players who aren't more physical than average. Not at all, of course I want him or the next manager to look abroad. My point was, with all these apparent trips he has made in the past to scout abroad just what has he come back with and who have we signed from these "trips" he has made?. Pulis has a "hard-on" as you put it for big, brick shit house defense minded players. There is no point in him going abroad and looking at players with flair because 1) He doesnt really like them or trust them to get back. 2) They don't fit his rigid system. 3) He has no idea how to handle them. God help him if they came with a bit of attitude like Tunny. I shudder when they say he's buggered off on a jolly to say somewhere like, Italy, for instance because I know 90% pretty much that nothing will come of it under Pulis. Our foreign scouting system needs a lot of damn work if we just have Arismendi too show for it!?. Im not sure Pulis could identify a player we would need to push the club on.

The Arismendi signing got even more shambolic when it came out that Coates and Scholes had hired a Spanish language world agent to highlight potential signings from South America, and one of his recommendations was Pastore. At the same time, The Lively And Inventive Dave Kemp had been exiled down there and came back with a recommendation for Arismendi.. although arent there rumours it was the wrong one? Either way, we all know how it ended up.

Doesn't smell of a man who believes he's a Dead Man Walking? SentinelMeanwhile, manager Tony Pulis flew to Spain after Sunday's home defeat by Spurs to watch the La Liga fixture between Real Sociedad and Granada. Sociedad's only familiar face is the former Arsenal forward Carlos Vela, while 11-goal striker Imanol Agirretxe, who is six foot tall and 26 years old, is another likely to attract his attention.
Possible long shots in Granada's current squad include midfielder Papa Diakhate, a 28-year-old six footer from Senegal.
Pulis also has meetings with agents from two different countries over potential signings.
That means he is forced to miss this evening's annual player-of-the-year awards at the King's Hall.Conveniently missing the awards ceremony more like, and who says he is scouting for us he could be scouting for any future emplyer as i'm sure has already been said but i havent got time to read to pages atm.
