Here's my two penneth, both recent, as it happens.
1) "I was pleased with the (Sunderland) draw against a massive club".
Massive, with the boardroom a shambles? And our failing to win against ten men and already without their three forwards?! Utterly depressing.
2) "I think we have worked hard enough now (after 5yrs in the PL)to be looked upon as an established PL side".
Great! So now the one person who does indeed still look upon us as interlopers, by praising almost every opposition club and treating any away point "as a bonus" can leave behind such negativity, next season. Thank God for that and excellent news.

I never understood the steak and chips quote. I'll have steak and chips on a bog-standard Monday night.
If I'm feeling flush whilst eating out I'd probably go for seabass or monkfish.

I'm like you, long for the days when we used to go up to joke teams like Sunderland and give them a real belting. Oh, hang on, I just checked the numbers, we have flogged up to the North East 65 times in our 150 years and won exactly 7 times.

The hoefkens 'kiddie' quote. The Palacios will blow away in the wind comment (even though he's 3 stone overweight) the Whelan is 'the Glue' that holds our play together comment. (he must have been sniffing glue to think that!!) was it Millwall he was on about when he bigged them up by saying they were in an FA cup final a few years ago nige...even though no player who played in that game was still playing for Milwall & they were in freefall at the time.

" I was pleased with the Sunderland draw "
How right he was. Look at the league table, that was a vital point.

How many victories had Wigan recorded over Man City away from their own stadium before Saturday? What exactly have fixtures going back to the 1890s got to do with the latest match when they were severely depleted and down to 10 men? I bet the cold winter nights just fly by in your house

" I was pleased with the Sunderland draw " How right he was. Look at the league table, that was a vital point. It was only a vital point because you were unable to arrest a slide that had dragged us from a position of comfort after Boxing Day to the fringes of a relegation battle, Tony. It really should have been a relatively meaningless (for us) end of season fixture. Thoughts, Tony?

" I was pleased with the Sunderland draw " How right he was. Look at the league table, that was a vital point. Hello again Geoffrey, you've gone quiet on the other thread. Again, and with no evasiveness about having answered it before, are you going to answer the question about whether you have any personal relationship with Pulis or his family, and why you have such a vested interest in being his personal propaganda wing?

We want 10 goals from Steven Nzonzi next year!
Fucking hilarious, he's barely allowed over half way but apparently he's expected to score more goals next year than our whole midfield has managed this year.

That's more than possible under a new manager who may have the courage to let the players get in the opposition half at places like Craven Cottage.

This after Whelan, Whitehead and N'Zonzi have mustered a combined 9 in their last 264 cage-bound starts.

If the Stoke Board were to sack Tony Pulis, it would rank along side the infamous decision taken by Leeds United when they sacked Brian Clough.
