Expectations of a team able to play football = expectations going through the roof for Pulis.

No one expects much more result wise than what we are getting now, just something decent to watch!

I agree with him, expecting professional footballers assembled for £100million to be able to control a football, string 5 passes to together, be coached properly, not have 5 players out of position, not to rely on luck and have some ambition to win a game of football away from home is way way way too much expectation.

He really is a complete prat. I've lost any hope of him ever changing, and I'm starting to lose hope of us getting rid.

This is the sort of comment that has me pulling whats left of my hair out! On the one hand, some of the "Pulis out brigade" have no idea what a fucking unmitigated disaster they might let loose but on the other hand this is absolutely right and perfectly fair. Supporting this club for 40+ years has always been a cross to bear ; God knows why I still bother..........

Hopefully he'll be given another 20 million quid to spend on 30 year olds so that we can continue to target 40 points, scoring all of 35 goals on the way and deliberately capitulating in those games he thinks are a bonus just to be playing in.
Everybody rub your hands in glee.

Aaaaarrrggghhhhhh!!!!
WHAT FUCKING EXPECTATIONS!
Nobody expects any more than the league positions and points totals he has achieved so far.
Is the expectation that this could be achieved without boring us fucking senseless too much to ask???
He has absolutely no fucking idea what people are complaining about.
He doesn't even have the right stick at the wrong end, he's got the wrong fucking stick.

He doesn't help himself, does he! All I want is him to build a squad with players to cover all positions (including fullbacks) , use players in their preferred positions, have more than one plan, stop using the white-flag approach away and against every 'big' club, stop patronising the fans and admit he's making a mistake every now and then. Is that expectations going through the roof? Hope he leaves tomorrow...or hopefully today.

He's merely trying to deflect attention away from the real issues and make the wider world think he is the victim.
Loves playing the victim does Tone...he must have some Scouse in him.

The Pulis out brigade are still coming out with as much nonsense as they have done all season in denigrating our great leader, even though their scheme has lost all credibility and TP is here to stay. Find someone else to have a go at please. How about Moyes out?

That statement says it all really. Just wants to talk about what hes done not whats happening at present. He really needs to admit mistakes and explain his tactics etc to get fans back on side not continually harp on about what hes done. Do you think Pompey are still revelling in FA cup glory or concentrating on staying a float; its the here and now not the past. If TP stays he is going to be lambasted from day one next season if there are the same tactics, PC will wants some assurances of change or should do the deed now. If were negative in the first away game next season the discontent will grow very quickly.

Supporting this club for 40+ years has always been a cross to bear ; God knows why I still bother.......... What did he say that is wrong? What is the point of playing any sport, let alone football, if you don't strive to win? It's comments like this which, to my mind anyway, make it sound like he isn't going to bother trying because what we currently have is all we can rightly expect. And to be honest what we regularly see on the pitch, especially away from home, seems to back this up.

We are the laughing stock of english football and he thinks expectations are too high. Another season him and there'll only be a handful of people to have high expectations.

I think he's just getting the unrest mixed up with where the team is in the league rather than the football we play, it can't be easy for him to figure out as I'm guessing he wouldn't come on here, and only reads the papers which on the whole thought the same thing.
This is the reason I think booing is a bit pointless in this case and a song about the poor tactics and approach to games is would be much better.

If he does stay (I want him OUT) it looks like we are going to be in for yet more dross week in week out, no ambition to win away from home, and the same old players out of position, no wingers, no full backs etc etc etc.
It will be interesting to see how long the fans are prepared to put up with it next season when he starts dishing out the same tripe that we have had to put up with for the last 18 months.
I sincerely hope that Denise and Co are made of sterner stuff and can see that a change is needed.
PULIS OUT

Is that the merry men who've been alledgedly arguing between themselves over the manager? I don't care what qpr reading fans etc want Bex , id be happy with championship footy as long as Peter Coates got rid of Tony Pulis, because he, his pre-match, post match bullshit and his "football" bores me shitless.
