But Pulis insists that he has done very little wrong and points to how far Stoke have come on as back up
It's statements like this that worry me. If he doesn't see he's done anything wrong, he's not going to change it.
We traveled to more matches before we got promoted than we do now, before, when we set off we didn't know what to expect, except the team would be giving their best. The last match we went over to was Reading, the night before, having a beer or 3 in the hotel bar I predicted the game plan, the subs and the time of the subs. I'm now wondering why I stream the matches, already know whats going to happen. If like some on here, I was only interested in the scoreline, I wouldn't watch at all, just check the results.
I just want unpredictability back.

What did he say that is wrong? What is the point of playing any sport, let alone football, if you don't strive to win? It's comments like this which, to my mind anyway, make it sound like he isn't going to bother trying because what we currently have is all we can rightly expect. And to be honest what we regularly see on the pitch, especially away from home, seems to back this up. I was being ironic. I think Tone works like this; 38 games 19 home 19 away. Away we will win 2 or 3 get nowt from the top 6 and draw half the others equals 10-15 points. At home, we will draw against the top 6 lose 3 or 4 and win the rest which equals c 33 points. 50 points is as good as it gets for him out of a theoretical total of 114. If 40 is safety and 50 is as good as it gets then basically we don't have to try that hard. The question is do we have players to do better? Yes I think we do and we should try harder away from home. Will we succeed; dunno

He's merely trying to deflect attention away from the real issues and make the wider world think he is the victim. Loves playing the victim does Tone...he must have some Scouse in him. He has, Jon Walters !

Going to the match is meant to be enjoyable , we have spent enough money now to be able to play a bit of decent football , realistically we are in a group that in an amazing season could finish 8th and in a bad one go down and no doubt we will one season , the Scousers sit just above that with Spurs then you have the traditional top four .
I would say 95% of Stoke fans recognise that reality so where have expectations gone through the roof?
I just want to watch a team that looks like it has cost the amount spent on it with some skill and more goals job done

The only expectations most of us have is to attack occasionally ,have a few shots and try to win now and again.

If TP would just admit he's dropped a massive bollock over the last 18 months , admit he's out of his depth playing anything but high tempo Pulisball and played his players in the right positions then he wouldn't be under pressure from many people. Unfortunately as well as being stubborn he doesn't possess humility.

Pugsley, Chorlton and Gunslinger have it bang on above. I really can't be arsed to comment much further. The man is either thick as pig shit and just doesn't "get it" or is playing a very clever game in deflecting attention away from the very real issues which urgently need to be addressed at the club.

Quite why this website has published a week old story and quite why the OP should start a thread linking to it is beyond me.

He knows he's off and is justifying himself. I don't think that he's particularly intelligent either, especially as he constantly suggests that the fans expect to finish higher. We know, everyone knows, that that's not the case - we just want to be entertained every once in a while. Surely he has to go, as I fear he's no hope of signing ANYONE decent. If you were an up and coming footballer, would you want to learn your trade the 'Pulis' way? I certainly wouldn't.

Here are my expectations Tone:
I expect the team to try to do as well as they are possibly capable of, not just aim for your magical 40 points every season. With the squad we have, we could be capable of 50pts+ in a season. Sadly with you we will never find out as limping past 40pts using dreadful tactics is considered a 'great achievement'.

Ffs Pulis im not asking you to win the bloody league!!
Just a bit of excitement on matchday, no more whiteflag away days, no more bonus games, no more reminiscing about the past, no more drooling over the Coates family, no more hoping for luck, sign a bloody left back, play your best players out, dont play average players out of position, dont be sarcastic to us the paying fans, fuck the stubborness right off, stop spunking money on defensive players, praise your own players and not the opposition, stop persisting with your favourite players, dont label us as "little" Stoke.
I bloody well know where we came from as I was there on frozen away days against the likes of walsall and wrexham, I watched the FA Cup defeat to Nuneaton, I remember Chic Bates, kyle lightbourne and david rowson so I dont need to be reminded of that.
All I care about is now and the way I see it is next season unless the likes of Norwich, Cardiff, Hull and the play off winners are crap then we could be seriously in trouble if things dont bloody change, is that too much expectation from me a paying fan to worry about my club?.
Yes Pulis Im grateful for the Coates family, bloody hell they have given me the chance to see Stoke in the Premier League with the money they have made available too you. Heck if I had their money I would of bought the club, I dont need to be reminded about what they have done and how bloody lovely they are as im pretty sure ill never get the honour to dine with them on a daily basis like you do.
All I ask and no doubt a majority of paying fans who really dont enjoy what your offering at the moment is to bring back that good feeling of a matchday after a long week of routine and work. I dont want the manager of my club to openly state that for the 6th year running, survival is our main focus and anything else is a mere bonus, 40 points being the limit of our ambition once more. Im not asking for steak and chips here, im happy for aberdeen angus, curly fries and to fall back in love with the matchday experience I used to feel before our manager began to get scared of losing rather than going out to win a game for the watching fans.
If thats too much expectation Pulis then I apologise.

Notice none of the other premier league clubs want him. Like many on here say, all we want is a team that tries to play a bit of football, with good ball control, good passing and movement, and shots on goal, not the puerile tripe that we have to put up with?,

He really is a complete prat. I've lost any hope of him ever changing, and I'm starting to lose hope of us getting rid. PULIS is Greek for piles. They are hard to get rid off, too.

The Pulis out brigade are still coming out with as much nonsense as they have done all season in denigrating our great leader, even though their scheme has lost all credibility and TP is here to stay. Find someone else to have a go at please. How about Moyes out? So you're happy with the quality of football we have been enjoying this season? Doesn't it worry you that we may not be able to pull off the low scoring low conceding relying totally on home form trick again next season?
