A done up Vic would have looked beautiful in the Prem. Still miss the old place now. Damn you Moxey!!!!! There was so much space at the Butler Street, Boothen End and Stoke End that could have been developed I still don't understand why we left the Vic. Maybe individuals profited greatly from a new stadium?

Some people are nuts.
Loftus Road really is a shithole. Our ground is not.
From the modern ones ours is far better than Reading's, and if they go down (and we stay up), Cardiff's looks very cheap and nasty and at seven times the cost.

was at the ground today with my mate a Celtic fan, his son just signed for the academy and they did the whole stadium tour, he stood at the dug out looking up at the main stand and said he thought the ground was superb.
i guess its all about opinions

Give me the Brit over Loftus Road or Goodison anyday. The one thing that those grounds have though is history and nostalgia. I hate all new stadiums an ours is a piss poor effort all round really. Give me am old fashioned football ground any day of the week, regardless of facilities or views etc. That's the reason I liked the Mestalla so much. It has history written all over it.

Surely the biggest pile of shite in the league? Such a 1960s monstrosity, then there's the other sheddy meccano stands. The place is an embarassment.

Looking at that photo, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw Dave Brent looking out of one of the windows. Ignoring the massive sign, its doesn't look anything like a stadium.

The Brit looks shite these days....real pity they didn't finish building it with the other corners filled in. Both Boro and Derby have a similar template to ours..thats what it should look like.

But todays rope is not as good as that stuff we used to get, in fact its crap................ Todays rope contains too much synthetic material. In the olden days rope consisted of hemp and cotton, nowadays it's all polypropylene and shit like that. The modern world eh? (rofl)top google

Aren't people just finding something else to complain about?
There was very, very little [maybe even none] threads about our shit new ground when it was being named the loudest in the league.
A new ground is normally wank as it holds no good memories. Certainly for the first 10 years of the Brit that was true. We should have enough now to make it feel like home.

I've only heard positive reviews about the Brit from people outside of Stoke. Some of my family who went the Victoria Ground say the Brit is nowhere near as good. Personally, I think it looks brilliant on the outside, but a little basic inside. Too many adverts and no uniqueness. Its certainly not the worst Stadium in the Prem!

I used to love the quirky little grounds that we frequented in the 80s & 90s Manor Ground and Gay Meadow to name two. But I will settle for The Brit, it's a great stadium for the Premier League, but a shithole for the Championship with only 12k inside...

For location - The Brit is poor.
But for comfort and view (especially for away fans) it is one of the best IMHO.
Arsenal - Looks good, but the view from that corner is shocking. Too flat. Also Souless. Aston Villa - Horrendous concourse - no leg room Chelsea - Upper tier is a good view and very comfortable/spacious Everton - Pokey and wooden, terrible view Fulham - Made out of Meccano, hate the 'neutral' bit. Oh and the concourse is outside! Liverpool - Too many seats, crammed onto what used to be terracing. View from the back is non-existent. Manchester City - Very similar to Arsenal - Looks impressive, but it's not tiered well. Manchester United - Good facilities, view ok (all be it from a corner). Limited leg room but we always stand anyway. Newcastle United - Good facilites, but its a heck of a climb, and you need binoculars Norwich - Not much to complain about, except the positioning of the away enclosure. QPR - Poor facilities, no leg room, poor view Reading - Feels a bit cheap compared to the Brit. Sunderland - A bigger version of the Brit. Swansea - Huge concourse, seating area feels a bit cheap. Tottenham - Upper tier is a good view and spacious/comfortable. West Brom - Tiny, cramped concourse - Seating area is good though. West Ham - Small concourse, not much leg room. Restricted view at the back. Wigan - Spacious/Comfortable/Great view - but a souless concrete block.
Cannot comment on St Mary's as next month will be my first visit.
In summary - Presuming that the away end is the same as the Boothen, The actual stadium provides one of the best facilities for supporters.

For me Out of the current teams.... Gotta be Everton Goodison is utter wank, view, atmosphere, really don't like it This for me, the city itself is a good away day but hate the ground. Hate to admit it but I quite like emirates, hate everything about Arsenal but I do like the stadium

Besides the fact that it is a graveyard for Stoke, theres something really dislikeable about the Ethihad for me, can't stand that place. QPR is certainly the worst, whilst Swansea's also looks gash.

Loftus Road for me I have been there for every Potters fixture since the early 80s including that infamous night when we got twatted on the plastic pitch. Absolute hole!

You can have the Boleyn Ground when West Ham go into the Olympic Stadium, if you like? Bloody Hell Geoff - I haven't seen that pic in your Avatar for years! One of my earlier efforts.

I drove past Pride Park the other day, the stadium & surrounding areas makes ours look like its half finished. Highly unlikely but I would welcome the corners filled in.

Give me an original-shithole like Loftus Road over any of the comfort-orientated new-builds please. I only love The Brit because resisting isn't going to resurrect The Vic.

A redeveloped Vic with a 25k (possibly)capacity sitting in the town centre, pubs and shops all round, stands hugging the pitch, train station nearby, streets teaming with activity, the old cafe, the old club shop, pork hoagies from the market, manky bogs, the Vic pub, etc, etc
Or
A 28k stadium on a hill, which we have to pay a bus to get too, few pubs, zero pie shops, no train station, cold winds, better bogs, more expensive food, better parking, fewer fights, etc etc
Choices choices.
Personally the former beats the latter, and I miss the Vic, however as its been said many times before progress is progress, sometimes it good sometimes it's shite.
